I currently have a desktop computer. I have U-verse internet with a 2WIRE347 gateway that allows me to use a laptop in another room, so I do have wireless capability for an existing laptop. I've done all of this...more than once. The laptop recognizes my network, but will not connect to it. I get a message that my network does not have a valid IP address.
