I would like to know when it comes out, too. Though I can't upgrade until June anyway. Still, it looks real nice!

I'll be moving on to a Nokia Lumia anyway, but ya.

Sigh. So, I got the phone back today. It still does not have that button to add networks. I called up LG again and the man onthe phone said that the LG Quantum was designed that wa, and that the woman who I was on the phone with earlier who set me up to send it in was not a smartphone specialist so she didn't know. So, apparently it is by design (by LG). Sorry about that.

I just called LG right now. They said my phone went out to be shipped back last night. They said it was fixed. I asked what they had to do and they said that after they hooked the phone up to their testing equipment, it showed that something was freezing (I take that to mean that something in the kernel hung and so it screwed up with drawing the interface). Basically, it ...

The official model number is the LG C900, I think, ya. Hopefully I'll have an answer and resolution when I get it back from LG!

I believe that Yahoo is the only one that doesn't have an option for "as items arrive"... Because they like to be different or something, I guess.

Windows Phone doesn't have anything that elaborate... Yet. I think the idea is most people only go between two modes: a loud one and a silent one. To do that; just hit one of the volume buttons and then tap the circle marked vibrate on the top right as it pops up (if you are in vibrate mode, it should say ring). I think if you have vibrate disabled, it would say silent, in...

I sent the phone off to LG today about 9 hours ago... I don't know how long they'll take trying to debug the issue. It's entirely new to them. So we'll see how it goes.

I will, and if they got it fixed. It is entirely possible that when I get it back it won't have been fixed. If it's something wrong in their software, a fix may only come when they release a new firmware update. It might be that certain revisions of LG phones are affected, and not others. So we'll see. I'll post when I actually send it out. I haven't yet. I'll probably get...

Well it would but I've got a high tolerance for this kind of thing. This is precisely why I kept my Nokia around--to use it as a backup if I needed it. I normally wouldn't go through all of this since I don't absolutely *need* a hidden wifi network, it's only really an inconvenience, but it *should* work, and apparently is a widespread issue. Being that neither AT&T nor L...

I talked on the phone with the man from AT&T as well as with LG a few times. They had me try a few things, and I tried a couple extra for good measure: Manually check for any additional updates that somehow may not have been installed through Zune (there were none), roll back the phone to before the update and re-apply it (didn't make a difference) and do a factory reset ...

It might be a bug in LG's firmware. Some Quantums are affected, and some of LG's other phones as well. But it's only LG. They're still looking but I also am going to call LG and see if I can get an answer from them.

You can only pause. Yes, I'd love a stop button too, but this follows the way many music players operate. Pause is really all you need. You can go and play anything else you want at any time, or restart it. And pressing home only should open the home screen. Since there's no multitasking yet, the back button fulfills much of the functionality. Music will play in the backgr...
