Yes, well in my experience (corporate phone plans are all verizon, and ive used them a lot elsewhere), i've got better customer service from them. Heck i was trying to do online tech chat the other day on AT&T and it said all reps were busy, please try again. ?? It didnt even put me in a waiting queue. How can their reps talk to me like i'm ignorant and there be no superv...

Well I had a very long, very frustrated chat on the phone with several techs and a couple supervisors. My problem is (they say) that their system now tries to continuously obtain GPS lock - say every 12 hours (they werent sure, thats just my own observation). Where it used to only acquire GPS lock during the bootup/powercycle, now it tries continuously. They tried to argu...

I'm an admin in our IT department, I am quite sure no network or firewall changes were made recently that could've caused this. ivioo - are the responses you get "Packet filtered"? They most likely have a firewall up.

Yeah I never got anywhere. The Engineer text messaged me and said it was fixed when it still isn't. Unfortunately i'm at the point of giving up and threatening to sue if they dont refund me the purchase price of the MC or fix it immediately, as I've invested entirely too much time into this. Doesn't do me any good on getting signal in my office, but they obviously don't c...

FYI - their t1 support siad it was because my device "had activation blocked" even though i had it activated 6 months ago, have the confirmation email, and it says on my account page it is activated.. Not sure if theres a hidden issue with that, or if they just didnt know what they were talking about. either way they created a ticket for an engineer to look at - with a re...

Is it true that afetr the latest update you have to enable port forwarding for a bunch of different ports? Is that why my 3g signal/light keeps blinking going out after a day?? This is crap! I can't do that - i'm on a corporate network, it was working fine up until a week ago.

Yeah to be honest, when its not trying to get GPS they work 90% of the time (acceptably). My wife complains of dropped calls and random noises on the one @ my house, but I think that has to do with her walking outside of its range too often and its failure to handoff to a tower. I do mind their secrecy - to an extent. In my situation there should be some options for them ...

Yeah I figured as much about the tunnel. Stupid IT people who know (somewhat) what they're doing. Oh well, maybe there's another way. And yeah I need to find the contract/documents I got and signed when I bought the microcell (hopefully I put them in the box). See what kind of verbiage, if any, they threw in there about being able to reboot it at will and alter and contro...

Thanks! Yeah there has to be a way to do it. First by blocking their ssh port - one less security hole. Second by using some packet inspector and determining when it is pushing an update binary file. This may be next to impossible to determine - depending how they push it (encrypted or not). I dont know, havent sniffed it to try and find out, figured id ask here to see if...

Oh I heard about them overriding locations for people back in the beta and initial deployment of it but i think the FCC rode them about it. Unfortunately without going through several walls i could not get an antenna to an exterior wall where it might get signal. I figured as much as they wont override it - which sucks for a lot of people - but i understand the device has...

Hello, First i'd like to say AT&T's tech support in this matter is absolutely useless and they cannot understand my problem at all. Numerous attempts to try to get them to do something has only resulted in loss of hair and time off my life. I work in an office building, near the center of it. No one in our building has service on any carrier, unless you work on only the o...
