In the native messaging app on Galaxy S5, the emoji button (inside the text box) has recently stopped working. Pressing it changes from active to inactive but emojis never display. I was thinking the app was updated and broke this, but I can't locate any update info for the app. Anyone else experiencing this, or have a solution?

Have you tried pushing the power button momentarily? That should light up the display while in a call.

Yes, usage counts against your data plan, as do your minutes, unless you buy their unlimited minutes on MC. Think of the microcell as being no different than using your phone anywhere.
