Thanks, that's my plan. My question is - will I be able to transfer the old AT&T number back into AT&T just a couple of days after transfering it to Tmobile?

AT&T is offering a Buy-One-Get-One Free on the Samsung Galaxy S7. To get this, you have to open a new line of service. I currently have 4 numbers on my account. Could I transfer one of those out of AT&T to another carrier, and then immediately back into AT&T into a new line of service, in order to qualify to get a free S7? TIA for any assistance with this.

But with three younger boys and visiting friends and relatives whom I allow on the LAN,I wanted to minimize any circumvention so my router hands out OpenDNS. It's too bad. For its sheer size Att should provide a simple feature like this...

The router is a Linksys WRT54GL with DD-WRT v24-sp2 installed. It did let me enter the WAN address, and I changed the "from" to 67, and the "to" remains 68. But that didn't change the Outlook behavior, unfortunately. Still disconnecting every 10 minutes.

Thanks for your detailed explanation, Entropy. To update everyone on my attempt to have AT&T replace my two phones, I received the two "refurbished" phones today. They are both BRAND NEW, and they are both 2.3.4. If everyone will push this issue until you get sent a replacement phone, this will force AT&T to deal with this more quickly. Don't let them just send you a batt...

If you just take the free battery, and then don't let AT&T know that this did not fix the problem, they'll think that the problem was the battery, and they'll not think that there are serious problems with this update. You'll be waiting for months for ICS, and you'll need that battery often until then. (You probably should purchase an external charger so that you can char...

The double-tap home key was removed in 2.3.6, to fix the home button lag. There is probably a way to set up Tasker to replace this feature. Also, the Android Market version of Vlingo is apparently superior to both VoiceTalk and VoiceCommand (both are versions of Vlingo) that come on our phone, so you might want to get that free app.

My second way to revert back to 2.3.6 was edited out by the moderator. It was similar to: http://galaxys2root.com/att-galaxy-s2/how-to-unroot-att-galaxy-s2-sgh-i777/ (which the moderator has allowed to remain in message #53 and #55 of this thread).

There are two ways to return to 2.3.4 and get back to decent battery life: Call (800) 801-1101 and go through the hassle of getting a warranty exchange for your phone. I just did this, but it took me about 2 hours on the phone over two different days to get it approved. But I've got 2 i777's that both experienced drastically decreased battery life after updating to 2.3.6....
