Sandblaster..... OK, plz clarify: if my old phone is over the 2-year contract point, I get to keep the $15 or $25 discount while paying for the new phone via NEXT? If so, how much more would I pay (e.g., Galaxy S-6) for the NEXT payment while keeping the discount? This is somewhat confusing -- getting a discount while paying more on the same plan. Plus, how long must I pa...

You're right, I wish I could stop the updates too! When my S4 works perectly, as in the past, along comes "updates" that work (for me) but seem to add more junk to the phone and/or slow it down considerably. And you're right again -- it's SO hard to get a decent answer from anyone, as you've experienced. Some of the responses you got were frustrating, I know. Does anyone ...

Bottom line: why root a perfectly good phone that works! And why perform an update which is known for its problems? Maybe I'm different, but if it's not broke, don't "fix" it. Jeeeeze.

I just want this slow d/l to STOP, but it won't let me. How can I effectively put a STOP to this, or can I refuse to install it after it finally finsihes its slow d/l? Frustrating.

The text in my previous posting didn't appear using Internet Explorer 9. I'll repost later using Firefox, which seems to work. My basic premise is that data usage from a previous billing cycle shows up in the current cycle, and AT&T refuses to fix it in "My Account" but acknowledges the error.

We need more details: how long have you had this service? How many signal strength bars on your phone, and did you check the coverage map of your area prior to getting ATT service? Hopefully you are within your 30 day cancellation timeframe. Then you can try Verizon, Sprint, ort some other service in your area. Tell us more.

I have 3G in my rural area, thankfully, which I must use at times for smartphone Internet. Question: is the quality or strength of my 3G signal directly related to the number of "bars" shown on my ATT cellular signal? In other words, if I move to a part of my house and get 2 "bars" will my 3G connectivity be proportionally lower than a location in my house with 5 "bars?" ...

Ah, yes. Thanks Planet-Ed -- it's for jailbroken phones. That takes me out of the game. Sure wish the Apple Store had something similar. Thanks again.
