UPDATE AT&T tech came today and replaced DVR and RG, moved the DVR from a coax connection to replace a receiver next to the RG, and checked cable connections outside the house. Before he swapped out the DVR he witnessed it reboot 2 or 3 times. After swapping: no reboots, What I DIDN'T do before he left was to test the recording function. The first thing I noticed is that ...

It is COAX to 3 of the 4 receivers including the DVR. I checked them all and there is no loose connection. If the problem IS a poor COAX connection I'd have to call AT&T to come out and check their connections. I'm certainly no Uverse tech, but it doesn't seem to me that a loose connection would cause the recording to split into multiples. It might account for the freezin...

Just did what you referred to as " A pull the plug reboot" of the gateway and the first thing I tried to record started to split into different recordings. Ten minutes later, the gateway rebooted.

I haven't made ANY netw...

AT&T is rolling out new Firmware, as we speak . The only problem is, the areas first reporting the new firmware are in the Central Time zone, so we will have to wait and see if any ET, MT or PT subscribers...

ginnpr wrote: Thanks - but sometimes I start the VCR - and leave and realize I used the "showtimes" section - have to put a note on the VCR - What a pain!!!!! You only have to put one note on the VCR one time that says: "Use the times from the Guide!! Not from the 'More Showtimes' screen" Then, if and when they fix this issue, you can throw the note away.

That was an "enhancement" provided us with the previous (prior to the CC "fix") update. Or at least it coincided with that update. That's when I first noticed it, but it seemed to affect only the 'more showtimes' for the scheduled programs screen. Now, it appears that it is uversal and occurs from the program guide also.
