Some more good news comes to Canadian owners of the Samsung Captivate, as Rogers has finally rolled out Android 2.2 updates to their customers. The Froyo update comes through the Kies software, so if you don't have that package installed already, you may want to jump on that beforehand. Does this mean that those of us in the states on the AT&T Captivate might see our 2.2 ...

I for one would prefer a kies version of Froyo. AT&T has screewed the pouch too many time with OTA.. Seems the more complex they are the higher chance of Bangin Sparky they have. UK Galaxy S users are getting a kies update as we speak...Lucky (Please be courteous)

All the GPS stuff aside ...I would wait and see what the new year brings on other more responsive carriers than AT&T You want an Android 2.2 or later OS period these days. As it seems to be the stable most feature rich version to date. Gingerbread is more of a GUI update of Froyo with a few other things added. but not a major release or it would be called "3.0" On 30 Apri...

Below is Samsung Mobile's o...
