Ok - internet was working fine, then a short while ago - it quit. I tried to open the web interface for the 2Wire system to check the status - and could not connect (wireless or ethernet). The i38HG device - Power light on steady green, Ethernet and Wireless lights blinking rapidly. No other lights. I try my home phone - still working I again try to open the web interface...

Updates: Tech showed up - actually on the early side of the window (yeah!). He came in and speeds were back up - without him doing anything. He stayed for over an hour - ran several tests, had me run my 2nd computer on speedtest.net while he ran my desktop on the same speedtest page - All was well, though his tests did show some excessive "noise" on the line. After giving up on me finding the "gear" icon that doesn't exist, the tech "ic233c(Irene)", this tech had me fire up Firefox and clear out the history on it (why? I rarely use that browser... and certainly hadn't for at least a couple of weeks before today...). Did it anyway, cleared the browser's history as instructed. This isn't looking good for the tech side of things....ugh. Tech wants me to click the "gear icon" on the right side of the Safari window. Ummmm... what gear icon? Where do they get this information?

I repeat the advice from others - think long and hard. It took a month when I switched from AT&T DSL to u-verse. Took high-level management stepping in to get things rectified. Service finally got to working well... for a few months... but things are starting to go wrong again.

After all was said and done, I was actually received a call from the executive level in the eventual correction. Well - here we are, a few months later - and apparently something has gone awry - yesterday, everything was "lagging", so I ran a speed test...

Wow! You must not be in Arkansas - particularly in Little Rock/North Little Rock area. Around here - the name of the game now appears to be "techs point fingers at each other" - while every test run by call center tech or premtech, etc. shows that the lines suck. I posted a new thread to document the ongoing saga. Speeds are still slow. After hour on chat with level II tech, he put in work order for a swap out of the RG. Tech showed up, refused to do the swap. Instead swapped the modem, argued with my wife (who showed him the print out of the chat transcript). He spoke with his supervisor, and then supposedly put in another ticket...
