Thanks for the reply, my thoughts. Yes, I understand AT&T is changing to what AT&T executive John Stankey calls, "...one consistent architecture," a "...derivative of the DirecTV in-home architecture." So, when I mention that existing U-verse box production is stopped, I am not wrong. Perhaps existing DirecTV hardware is also being changed. I understand that you, as an em...

pimanirad, I think we're going to have give up on this channel. In fact, it's probably the least of our worries. As has been mentioned on the thread, U-verse seems as though it will soon be history. We were unaware this was happening. All the reading I've done seems to say the same: AT&T is going to drop U-verse in favor of their new zillion-dollar satellite TV acquisitio...

dwinth -- Just as one could take - for instance - a tool such as a wheelbarrow and use it, filled with soil to grow flowers, Channel 1800 was also used by subscribers for a purpose other than its original intention. Many of us used it as sort of a screensaver, a placemarker that was often beautiful and calming, a standout amongst the vast raft of hard action, acute comedy...

We have our U-verse set to this channel whenever we're not watching something specific. I guess now we will choose the "off" button as there seems to be nothing even remotely close.

We are missing this, too. We've searched for an alternative and see none. Anyone else know of anything similar?

Thanks for the information, FugCooper. Frankly, it baffles me as to why AT&T would use (what appear to be) non-AT&T addresses. This seems especially strange when AT&T have been preaching caution regarding phishing scams for a long time. Actually, I got the message regarding caution. In fact, I got it so well that I would still not follow the original email I received. Tha...

I just received a bogus phishing email, supposedly from AT&T, asking me to switch to paperless billing. They even had a convient " Log In " button for me to click. Oh, and there's a nice $50 coupon waiting for you if you just login and change your billing info! How nice. The email was well done. Almost convincing -- until you hover over the links and notice that they aren...

Nothing says you have to use the wireless function on the U-verse supplied router. I don't. I use my own Apple Extreme router. Here's a site which describes what you need to do (I have no affiliation): http://www.sbbala.com/uverse/index.html - Terry

Previous to U-verse, we used ATT DSL. We had no problems with POP email. Since U-verse was installed, we have had exactly the same problems with email that you describe. I suspect it has something to do with the Yahoo servers. Our email is migrated from the old SBC Global and still uses our old address. It's not getter better; in fact, it seems to be getting worse.
