Hi I have a MotoVAP to send the uverse signal to my two wireless receivers. I am constantly losing the connection. A reboot of the MotoVAP and reconnection (original setup procedures) is necessary each time. I am wondering if this is due to my neighbor's 5 Ghz signals. I suppose it could also be my dual band router. I have set up my network on the dual band router to be o...

Hi does it make sense to use the surge suppression capabilities of my power strip with the Uverse Data Line? I am concerned about a surge coming into the house over the data line and would like to plug it in to the fax/tel outlet on my APC surge suppressor. Would this mess up or restrict the bandwidth? Is this a good idea? If so what cable would I use from Monoprice? Than...

And this poster's name appears to be a street address. Might want to do something about that, as well.

Maybe they need to update your profile? I had a similar situation and the tech updated my profile and speeds went up dramatically.

OK thanks. Does it matter if I don't fill those in?

It's on my Asus router under LAN and then the DHCP Server tab. Default gateway is under basic config and DNS server is under DNS and WNS server setting(s). The router is the Asus RT-N66U.

Hmmmm... when I put in my router's address it is fine. When I put in my Gateway's address, I have no internet.

Quick question for anyone who sees this: do I need to fill in the default gateway and the DNS server on my router when setup as above? They were blank. I put the router's internal ip address in the default gateway and 8.8.8.8 on the DNS server space. Tell me if I am really screwing something up. Or even if I am not. Thanks.

You could try the fix in this thread: https://forums.att.com/t5/Third-Party-Devices/AT-amp-T-U-Verse-PS4-Connection-Speed-REALLY-SLOW/m-p/3837651 I wouldn't try it with the computer (putting a computer in the DMZPlus might be risky), but putting the PS4 in the DMZPlus may work. And try this "DNS change" in the 7th post too.
