My U-verse wireless gateway is in the back of our house. We live in an old 1920's home with solid wood walls. For our macbooks, we get a pretty decent signal, but my wife's iPad 2 get's poor wi-fi speeds. I bought a Cisco/Linksys WRT160N wireless N broadband router. I have a wired connection in my living room (going to a 4 port switch) then connected to my DVR. I tried ho...

Not really, but why would that matter? It it works on the STB, I would think that rebooting the RG wouldn't matter. My phone and internet work perfectly. It seems to be related to the DVR. But, I'm not expert... Thanks for the suggestion.

I get this error ALL THE TIME. Its gotten worse and worse over the past 6 months. I've restarted may times, but never a "hard" reboot like you suggested. I will try this when I get a chance. Thanks!

This has been happening for some time now. I will attempt to play a recorded show and I see a black screen with a white heading (black text) that says "Delay in starting to play this program. Please wait.". I wait and sometimes the show will start to play, but most of the time it doesn't. If I switch to another show, MAYBE it will play, then going back to the first show, ...

No, there are filters on each network connection coming out of the RG. The filters are only on the lines going to the DVR and STB. The one connected to the switch that UVERSE provided (which I use to connect my computers) does not have a filter. I will try bypassing the swich connected to the DVR and see if that helps... Hopefully that is not the problem and I will still ...

One switch. Yes I have had it since getting the service. I added it a few days after. I needed a way to hook in my Wii and my wireless signnal stinks in my living room (i live in an old 1926 house that has solid wood walls under sheet rock. That is why I also added the wireless router recently. If I can only hook in the DVR, that will really be a bummer. I guess I could a...

This has been happening since I got the service a year ago. I have rebooted several times. I thought with the phase 3 update, that it would fix it but it still happens. I will try your suggestions. I only have one DVR (in the living room) and one STB in the bedroom. Like I said, both are connected using Ethernet. The bedroom STB is directly connected to the wall connector...

If I am watching a recorded show on my STB in my bed room, if i pause it for several minutes, when I hit play, i get an error telling my I've lost connection with the DVR (not sure exactly the message). I then click on continue and that show is no longer found in the list of recorded shows. Eventually the show shows up again (takes about 30 seconds). This has got the be t...

I'm throwing in the towel.... I just got off the phone with TRENDnet suport (2 hours!!!). After changing the security mode to WPA2-PSK, I could no longer use my iPad and iPhone. The supervisor told me that Apple devices don't work very well with WPA2-PSK. I tried to change it back and could no longer connect to it. They had me reset and reconfigure it, etc. I am sending i...

I changed both my RG and AP to use WPA2-PSK (AES). Now my wireless is no longer working. I power cycled the RG and after it came up the Wireless LED is not on and I can not connect to either the RG network or the AP... Ideas?

Thank you so much, one last question(s). Can you explain the advantages of using the different security types (auth modes)? When I go to the AP Wireless->Security, just below the "Security Mode" combo-box, it says in red: If you choose WEP or WPA/WPA2-TKIP encryption, the wireless mode should be Non-HT 11n mode. This means you will NOT get high throughput performance due ...

I'm sorry for all the confusion. I guess my problem is I'm getting conflicting information. I am on the phone now with TRENDnet tech support. They had me power cycle the AP, and now I can connect to it. He had me make one config change, to set WPS from Enabled to Disabled. This allowed me to browse the internet using the AP. Hooray! But then I asked him if I could use the...
