@mibrnsurg too bad on your continuing dvr issues. Been there- if you know what works, keep on doing it. I get it. I could have sworn the last ATT tech I spoke to a few months ago said a high storage dvr is out there (west coast). It would be great to have a tb of storage! Yes, go Detroit teams but more importantly................ GO BLUE!

Hey all! Does anyone know if the powers that be are updating the aris 2250 (500gb) d.v.r.? I would love one that is 1TB so the pressure to watch the shows recorded isn't always there. The extra storage would allow to carry over into the summer/ winter when repeats are on. I'm from the Detroit, Michigan market. Thanks. @mibrnsurg is your d.v.r. problem solved yet?

Been there, done that. As I am a loyal ATT customer for years this problem tested me as well. They kept sending techs instead of the buried team!!!!!!!!!!!! I finally got the # for the company that handles all the cable burying and dealt with them directly. Get that # and called them. I can't remember where I put it but I will post it when I find it. Good luck. Uverse is ...

5 years of service here with occasional d.v.r. problems (handled quickly) and a line problem when they upgraded me to 40 mbps. That was frustrating and sounds like you're going through the same thing but it will be handled. It just has to go through the tiers, like any company. Trust me, it could be a lot worse. Stick with 'em.

@mibrnsurg sorry about the delay in response. Usually people come to you for this type of thing as you have helped numerous in the past. Are you by chance near capacity for memory? Wiring to receiver/house in good order (a little mouse chew action)? Faulty power strip? Worn outlet/loose plug-outlet connection (more common than you think)?. I know these are obvious things...

No, definetly not! Once every few months or so if that. Try aviewer suggestions but I would recommend having att bring you out a new one. Preferably an aris with a 500gb drive.

Like most American companies (H.P., Dell etc.), they work on a tiered system. Usually the more complicated and tech specific a problem is, it moves up the tiers and most of the time is on our soil.

And you'll regret it. Comcrap is thee worst! Their d.v.r. is high tech but flawed. Research prior.

I've noticed getting some strange e-mails from myself to myself over the last couple weeks. I changed my password and so far this has stopped. Try the simple step first.

Actually, that would be comcast!!!!!!!!! ATT has been great for me throughout the years. Try emailing the customer care dept or have your call escalated to a manager.

Good luck when 90% of the people have only fiber to the node and cat5 or coax to the residence. You'd be lucky to get one or two streams. Can't wait to ATT rolls fiber to all residences. Huge investment I realize but they need to do it to keep up with the Jonses'. Plus, their main focus is on Direct TV now.

My wife complained about the same thing and I don't know why Richardson TX. is the place that's so lucky. My home page did it as well. This is how I fixed it: you can go to your "set location" only to find it returns to Richardson TX.! Without going into the main page on your set location go to the little light bulb icon on the upper right of the window window click it, e...

If connections are fine and the coax connection is good, try hard rebooting of gateway (unplugging for 10 seconds), if this does not solve it you'll have to make a service call. They'll bring out a new Arris 2250 dvr and that should solve it, if not you have line issues. Good luck.

My Onkyo receiver does the same thing (1-2 second delay). If I watch regular t.v. and don't unselect surround sound the delay is 3 seconds. Very annoying since I only power up my a/v during shows/ movies that warrant it. I have my dvr set up hdmi to t.v. blu-ray hdmi to a/v via pass-through to t.v. and dvr audio optically to a/v. The reason I don't do pass-through for the...
