@michail77, I agree, as a huge Apple fan myself, having an iOS (or OS X) based IPTV firmware/software would be amazing It could open the doors for Apple TV functionality (AirPlay) or even an Apple TV as an STB (or IPTV on Macs, iDevices, or even through iTunes) But Apple doesn't seem to be interested in the (cablesque) IPTV game As for Apple not liking to deal with other c...

I haven't been on the forums in a while, but I did want to say that I did find an Actiontec HPNA bridge a while ago, and was able to get it up and running @gregzoll_1, "As for computers/devices that do not support Wireless, or you do not want to add a wifi card to the computer, use a Bridge or Ethernet over power adapter, to make things simple." @baseballisback, if Microsoft sells MR to who I heard they're selling it to, I have a bad feeling I heard they were selling to Ericsson, the only Ericsson I know of is the cell phone manufacturer owned by Sony, and I have my issues with Sony, so if that's the case, I don't see MR going anywhere but down

Like Don_H was hinting towards, why not just set up the ROKU wirelessly? Of course a wired connection is always more reliable than a wireless one, but in this case it would probably be a better idea to go wireless than mess with your DVR wiring or running a new line from your gateway to the ROKU

I've had it on my DVR for a while (first noticed it when I found out my HD light wasn't on), still waiting for my STB to get it (WiFi), just tried to reboot it to no avail

A wireless bridge could possibly work in my situation, though I remember SomeJoe saying something about wireless bridging being incompatible with the RG I don't really need a repeater, the wireless signal from the RG covers my house pretty well, this was more for computers/devices that don't support wireless I did happen to find an Actiontec bridge on Amazon, so hopefully ...

I'm trying to find an HPNA bridge that is compatible with the HGV 3801 in order to get Internet access to a room that isn't wired with CAT5 I have looked online and found that either the Motorola TER-HPNA2 (which I understand is included in the Xbox kit) or the Actiontec HCB1000, should work fine for what I plan to use it for Problem is I can't find a site that sells them ...

What about the MediaFlex from Ruckus Wireless? http://www.ruckuswireless.com/products/mediaflex-home-products http://www.ruckuswireless.com/products/mediaflex-home-products/7000-series The OP could use that to wirelessly connect the STB/DVR to the RG, then connect the STB/DVR to the TV either via HDMI or Component, then there shouldn't be a need to run CAT5 or Coax, t...

Two things... 1. Yes, you can use RG6 Coax in place of CAT5+ Ethernet by using HPNA over Coax, the Coax must be in good shape and all fittings, couplers, and wall plates must be replaced, also, being you won't be using U-verse for internet, you will not be able to use some U-verse TV features such as the Web Remote, Flickr Photos on TV, U-Bar, and a few other features, an...

If I understand this right, you want to be able to use the PS3 to play PS3 games, Blu-Ray movies, and DVD movies, so all you want to connect is the PS3 and the U-verse DVR, right? First, throw out the PS3 composite (Yellow/Red/White) cable, it only supports 480i (SD), and will not support the HD resolutions of 720p, 1080i, or 1080p (you can save the composite cable for wh...

By default, when the U-verse remote is programmed for the TV, the volume buttons always default to the television's volume control on either the TV or AT&T modes I am not sure how to enable the STB volume controls on the remote seprately from the TV volume controls personally (though there may be a way) One way you can do it is by unprogramming the TV from the remote, the...
