Hey, Don, One thing I just remember. When I switched to U-verse I had to Remove my Slingbox from the SlingPlayer application on both of my Macs and reinstall it. Be sure to note the Slingbox ID prior to doing this, and choose "Slingbox ID" if asked whether to use that or Direct Connection.

Something else to try if you haven't already (though admittedly I'm grabbing at straws on this one): try resetting the RG. Wait for it to return fully. Then power down your slingbox for 30 seconds and restart it. Verify the IP address, etc., in the RG setup screens, then try again.

Hi! I've been using my slingbox with U-verse successfully for 14 months. If you post details about what kind of OS you're running that might be helpful for some of us. Try temporarily stopping any firewall running on the client computer(s) you're using and see if that helps. That's caused issues for me in the past. Let us know whether that makes any difference. I hope you...

I cancelled my subscription to U-Verse television, but when I had it I thought the HD quality was quite acceptable. Now that I switched back to DirecTV, I find the HD quality on it to be slightly better. I did find that the regular SD channels on U-Verse were much better quality than most of the SD channels on DirecTV, if that makes any difference to you.

Don't know of an 800 number, but you'll have better luck with this link (with "att" excluded from the last bit): http://rewardcenter.att.com/myrewardcard/

After switching to U-verse from DTV for about 9 months, I switched back and have been pretty happy with just U-verse internet and voice. I agree with everything you said, but one thing I did appreciate with U-verse is that the SD picture quality was much better than DTV's SD, even though DTV has superior HD picture quality. U-verse also has better web tools for scheduling...

I second the vote for MS Security Essentials. It's free, critically acclaimed and less intrusive than other products. Also, if you're not already running Firefox as your web browser, I'd suggest you try that as well. http://www.getfirefox.com.

I use Microsoft Security Essentials. I've used OneCare in the past, and MSE is similar to it (and free).

I have an Airport Extreme base station and it works great with U-verse and their router/residential gateway. As Joe suggested, you just have to set it up as a router-within-router, which the RG recognized and configured automatically for me. I can use the AE for 802.11n with no issues.

I have a similar issue intermittently as well, which seems to have cropped up over the last few months. And when it does happen, I find it very annoying because it will drop every 30 seconds or so five or six times over a period of a few minutes. It seems like it happens to me watching my local NBC station in HD on Thursday nights. I also record two HD streams that night....
