Need advice on which gigabit switch works best for Uverse video. It will be used only for STD connections. Using Cat6 and would like to reduce clutter around RG. Does anyone have advice? Wanted to run to store and buy ASAP. Thanks

I cannot find where they claim a STB can record anything, but they will allow recorded content to be played on any other box int he home... just like AT&T does with U-verse). What is involved in the installation you want? If you want an installer to run line of any sort, then yes there will be a price. If not I don't see why since it can be activated remotely.

When I am at school and use my .edu email account it seems to be a long time before the receiver gets it. Some times like 45 minutes or more. I think it is because it is bottled necked at the university but have no actually idea why. So what I think I am saying is that there are a lot of variables involved. If it happens to everyone you send it to all the time, then I woul...

Here is an update. I called and said I wanted to try out 18mbs for a couple of months to see it if is worth it. They pushed up our DSL current rate to over 29000 kbs. Since I am out of school this week and my little bro is visiting we will test it out. I plan to see if we lose any speed if two HD and two SD are running. Will post back later.

This is how it worked at our house. Coax from the RG to two TVs and one with Cat 5e. But you can go all Coax, Cat 5 or phone line and any combination thereof. After the install I dropped Cat 5e, some I had for free, to each TV receivers. I liked the idea of running it over a network within the house. It worked great with Coax and we have noticed no difference when we went ...
