12/19/2010 turned one of my TVs on and it only showed snow and would not display a Uverse menu or guide or anything but snow. This was on a STB box. Unplugged the power and when plugged back in it displayed 3 dots and after a couple of minutes everything was working again. Are you running 1.6.0.0 Realtime? I believe it is almost totally passive and no longer issues IGMP requests. "U-Verse Realtime is now mostly a passive network application, simply listening on the network for SSDP packets that the STB/DVR unit send out."

Position the RG on it's edge instead of having it flat. Make the letters "ATT" be at the top of the unit in a normal reading position. You can then turn the RG around until you get the strongest signal in your garage.

Make sure you select stereo instead of surround sound in your STB.

My TVs background sounds were too loud until I went into the TVs Menu, Audio and turned off "Surround Sound". I don't have external speakers so the surround sound just coming out of the TVs speakers amplified the background too much.
