If you friend has uverse as well, he would have to edit the firewall settings on the RG to allow the computer to go thru the firewall set up on the RG. Like you had mentioned, if you do it from any network besides a UVERSE network it lets you right thru. The UVERSE firewall heavily secured, and thats why you have to enable things on your own.

It is possible, the only settings that chage are the outgoing server settings, the incoming server settings have to be yours. The outgoing server setting MUST be AT&Ts settings in order for it to work. I have ran across this problem several times. The way that i get this to work is to rebuild the profile. Delete ALL profiles from your email accounts and rebuild it, sometimes it has to be done up to 4 times. Like someone else said its an intermittent problem and can get agrivating having to deal with it, what version of outlook do you have?

Yes This is going to have to go to a difrent department, and Tier 2 should be able to take care of you. If they tell you we need to replace the DVR it be best you hang up and call back, or be persistant about not wanting to loose your recordings. The other department usually takes under 24 hours to pick up and resolve the ticket.
