Did verify last night that my other STBs also show the same flag. weird, I only have one series that goes back to Feb. All of the shows before 4/13 are marked this way.

Rebooted the STB no change, when I get a chance I will see if shows the same thing on my other two STBs. But clearly this is some type of recording flag as it shows up when you select info on the recording and it a standard message not something that shows up only when I try to play the show.

I happen to have some shows recored from Mar-Apr time frame. I decided to watch one of these this weekend and th show was marked that I could only watch it on STB with the DVR? Never saw this before. So first thing I thought was maybe something to do with the update but it appears that shows recorded prior to 4/14 have this flag and shows recorded afert don't which is way ...

Maybe if you go to Radio Shack or buy a Monster cable, you can get a really good optical for about $4.00 at monoprice. I buy all my cablesthere. http://monoprice.com/products/subdepartment.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10229

The STBs currently don't support DD5.1 through HDMI so if you want 5.1 you will need to get an optical toslink cable and use that with your receiver. You may also try to go component cable to your TV rather than HDMI through the receiver or even try the HDMI direct to the TV, the receiver should not degrade the PQ but I would pull it out of the loop to check.

Probably depends on your traffic. If you have a lot of internal LAN traffic then moving this to a seperate network would pull this off the RG. However, if all of the traffic is WAN then it wouls still have to go through the RG. I segregate mine just because I get better wireless using my Linksys than the 2Wire. I also upgraded to Elite since my kids do a lot of gaming and ...

All current cable cards only support QAM not IPTV as far as I know so you can't use them with UV. They also don't provide DVR capability although some Tvs now have this imbedded. Message Edited by fl_cyclist on 05-15-2009 11:44 AM

You may also be able to get this to work if you plug it into the ethernet port on the set top box (STB) but I am not positive. That would require that your STB is connected to the network via coax.. If you are plugging it into the USB port I am positive that it will not work.

Do they require that you to segregate the company line from the personal line or is this not an issue? If it is not an issue why not just collapse to a higher bandwidth UVerse internet line and have the company subsidize this. If they do require seperate lines then I don't see why you would be forced to drop the UV line if everything is working. I expect the IT group under...

Still not clear to me why AT&T does not implement VDSL2? Doesn't that support both twice the bandwidth and twice teh distance, can the technical issues be greater than pair bonding? I have read that the VRADs have VDSL2 hardware so it would not seem to be a cost issue.
