Hi, Chris--The aspect ratio adjustment in the menu worked fine when on component, but the TV itself still indicated a 4:3 ratio when the input button on the remote was pushed. Just to follow up, I had a great tech visit this morning. He thought the problem was the HDMI cable was the problem, and at first tried component cables. Sure enough, the aspect ratio (as indicated by my TV) changed to 4:3. But he then switched the HDMI input, the aspect ratio went back to 16:9, and I haven't seen the problem since. Thank you. I do have Uverse VoIP, and the battery light on the NVG589 is not on, so no battery installed. I do have a wired phone, a cell phone and an iPad, which give me phone and internet options in the event of a power outage. Well, I unplugged it last night and tried it one more time after work today--not only didn't it work, but now all the lights are dim and flickering, like cheap Christmas lights. So I will give it appropriate last rites, and look into a new box.

Well, the tech has been here and he found a very simple solution. He changed the TV-DVR connection to HDMI instead of component and the 16:9 ratio was restored. So the new 2250 is not defective, but apparently the TV "sees" it differently than the old 1225 (which was connected by component). So all is well in docbombayland once again! docbombay

RC was correct in that what was shown was called Local on the 8s. But like dwinth says, it was not really local, but a summary of forecasts from multiple major cities. If you have U-voice, you should have the call history feature available. I seem to recall reading that some features may take a few days to show up after an install or being newly added, so another day or two may make a difference. You might try rebooting, which has worked in other cases for me (e.g.upgraded WAN profile). Otherwise, you will probably need to call TS. Good...
