You've missed the point of the post entirely, it would seem, and I'm sure that this is not the first time, so I'll summarize for you so you can keep up: I've had the service for 12 months and for 12 months it's been spotty: 2 gatewa...

Yes that's your standard "RUDE" response that would get deleted if it wasn't posted by you. and BTW... it stopped being even remotely funny months ago but I understand this is now your canned response to people you do not care for. Perhaps you could answer the question instead of just being a smart-ss?

Well I'm not one to defend AT&T (just ask around here LOL) but unless those extra hops are within AT&T's domain then I fail to see how this is an AT&T issue. Often what happens is a main router goes down somewhere and until it's fixed you get routed around the problem which adds hops. Usually this is fixed (or noticed LOL) within a couple of days.

Just out of curiousity, have you updated your Utility Regulatory Commission complaint with this new information - that it was a user adjusted security setting that was interfering with the web application? They might find that information useful as well. Do you find it a...

The hops are averaging 22-28ms in duration; which seems high as well. I've been scouring other U-Verse related forums and have found others experiencing the same issue as well. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be hope for the s...

I guess you give a little more play than I do to management. If they "really" wanted the truth then it's not too hard to find the information. Maybe they know but they don't know (or want to know) the truth. Using the term "lie" is a bit strong but no matter what word you want to use but let's look at the 24mps situation. Right now 24mps is available to everyone on the 32...

I can discuss facts just fine. I kept Uverse for Internet and phone and it works very well. The TV portion is NRFPT but I understand that for those who do not need multiple HD TV's that it can work ok for them. The issue with having to accept substandard TV service is just plain wrong. You can do what I did and go to Direct TV or Dish for your TV and keep Uverse for the r...

CGI wrote: Why dont they concentrate on allocating some of that to the HD streams. This kind of thing pisses me off...they put all this effort into getting higher download speeds but wont try to allocate even 3-4 M to their crappy 6M HD streams. Because they really do NOT want everyone on the 80mps profile - how many people really need even 12mps? But how do they counter ...

Ok if you read the article it states that this is possible using multiple 3 pairs of wires (we use 1 pair now) so all they have to do is to run more copper to your home and then bind them all together..... IE the reason cable is so fast is because the wire is thicker so AT&T is going to string up a few more "thin" lines to your home! **bleep**! Why not just run cable then...

I cry BS! If they could do this then why not do this for TV also to allow more HD streams? They already stated that they will not be using pair bonding (it's expensive) to add speed. Pair bonding (at best) only adds 50% to your speed give or take so even if they are going to move to pair bonding they still need a ton more. Magic new technology.... sure... that's the ticke...
