SomeJoe7777 wrote: Cable system bitrates are not usually directly comparable because they typically use a different video codec. (Cable typically uses MPEG-2, while U-Verse is using H.264). Cable's HD bitrates can be around 18 Mbps MPEG-2 if the cable system is sending 2 HD channels in one QAM slot. However, many cable providers, to save space on the cable system, now sen...

Anyone have any idea what bitrate standard cable providers are sending their information in? (Comcast/Time Warner/etc)?

When I used to be on coax, I would get problems ONLY with playback, not normal tv. When I switched to cat5, it eliminated the issue. I have a newer house with pretty good wiring so I didn't think that was my issue. The only thing I could conclude, is my coax line ran right next to my subwoofer, and I assume the magnet was causing interference, that is now shielded on cat5...

Not sure what happened to the 1.4.1 thread, but $25 donated here. Thanks for a great piece of software and your help to the community!

SomeJoe..... I think you missed the biggest anomolly of your data collection, or atleast you didn't comment on it.. Of the however many million users of uverse and this forum, you only have 300 unique ip addresses?!?!?!?!? This program needs to get more publicity somehow. I wonder if "High Speed Internet Access" is the right sub forum to have this thread going on. Wonder ...

SomeJoe7777 wrote: They are testing a new 3801HGV (the "black" RG). It is basically similar to the 3800, but is black in color, uses HPNA v3.1 (PHY rates up to 320Mbps on coax and 140 Mbps on phone wire), and the VOIP port is wired a bit differently (single port with a dongle that breaks it out into 2 ports). So if you have a perfectly working 3800, would there be any ben...

Are there really more than one brand/type of RG that they are using? Do these different models have features that other models do not?

Just curious, if there is a next release, what updates might be coming? A teaser maybe? :-)

So I've come up with another suggestion. I completely understand that this application isn't really designed to do this, but I would LOVE to know the amount of TV and what channels are being watched on a daily basis. In regards to storing off information (I.E. MAC Address Names, Default settings, etc) while the program is running, would it be possible to store off the 5 s...
