You've been so helpful-- thank you! If I decided on having two separate networks-- one using the RG and the other using a third party router-- will my internet bill with AT&T go up? Incidentally, I dropped my cable last year, so I don't have U-verse TV any more... only internet. Thanks again.

I don't know how to answer that question... Are you asking about the model? The model # is 3800HGV-B; manufacturer is Pace PLC. I've had it since 2008, and of course it's the one AT&T put in.

Thank you. I was afraid the answer might be that it wasn't possible with the RG. So, what do you mean by a "third party router"? Is that something to use INSTEAD of the RG, or in ADDITION to the RG? The usage policy you mentioned is exactly what I had in mind.

I want to "turn off" our wifi while I am not home to monitor a Certain Teenager's use of it. Can I do that from my http://192.168.1.254 Gateway? Unplugging the modem from the wall isn't an option, obviously. Please help!

I would like to know how to change my sub-account email addresses to primary account aliases . Does this make sense? To explain, when I started out with AT&T in 2008, the only method I was aware of to have more than one AT&T email address was to create "sub-accounts," which I did. I have 4. All these email addresses are MINE, not other family members'. All these sub-accou...

There is a row of gray semi-circles across my notification bar ever since AT&T installed an update (without my permission... I was notified of the update and chose the option that said "Remind me later," but the next time I turned on the phone there was a msg. on the screen saying that it was updating right then and was unavailable until it finished). I'm sorry I can't re...
