I don't know if this is a common problem or not but some shows I'm recording are coming up with as a black screen. The DVR comes on and I end up with an hour's worth of black screen, I can fast forward through it, rewind it, replay it but it shows nothing but a black screen. For example, the other night I set the DVR to record 3 consecutive shows on the same channel betwe...

I was an installer / repairman for AT&T for 35 years and unless there has been a drastic change it is against their policy to run a drop across another persons property. There are rare cases where it is necessary to do this but the drop must be high enough so it won't interfere with anything on your property. I would call repair service and ask to speak with a supervisor,...

I would appreciate any help I can get with this problem. I'm a 30+ year retired employee of AT&T and have had U-Verse since the day it was available in my area, now over a year . The installer that put my system in loved it because I had prewired every location I wanted a computer or TV at. He made the outside connections and spent about one hour setting up the boxes to c...

Thanks guys, I followed Computer-Joes advice and got the laptop connected and the link TexasEd posted (very helpful) is something I would have expected to be given when the system was installed, if it wasn't so large I'd print it out .

The dead computer was a laptop and was replaced with another laptop, the 2 others are desk top computers that are now all wireless even though one is only 2" away from the (RG?) box with all the flashing lights. I'm old (65) and don't consider myself stupid (I found this place) but I can't understand how a company that I worked for all my life and retired from can come in ...

RCSMG, you mentioned another CD, we never received any CD's or for that matter any printed material (read instructions) with our installation. I have no idea of what anything is capable of or how it works. The tech that did our installation removed all our Ethernet cables and removed our router and switch. He used the Ethernet wiring in the house to connect the TV's and d...

When the tech set up our U-Verse he had to do something to each of our computers with a disc he had. One of our computers just died and we had to replace it, do we have to call for a tech to come out with a disc to get the new computer setup on our 3 computer home network?

I'm a senior citizen that doesn't know much about computers. The rep that placed my U-Verse order suggested I upgrade my internet service to Pro for faster service. I did but shouldn't I have to upgrade the equipment in my computers to take advantage of this speed? It seems like my computers are running slower then they did when they were wired with the plain DSL instead o...

Thank you for the suggestion, the first thing there gave instructions for the remote control, the second wanted some kind of a password. I'm 66 years old and don't understand a lot of this new stuff, I was looking for some place that would tell me how to access the recording feature built into the system and how to activate and set it. Thank you for your time, I'll try lo...
