The premier sites you have to pay for those aren't free like the others. We do get a discount but I can't remember how much.

The TA should only cap when a call is placed. If no call is placed then you should get your full bandwidth.

Use the link I posted above that's the most accurate test you can use since it's inside the network. The best outside one I have found is speakeasy.

You can pick and choose what to install just like any other suite AV product. CA went away over a year ago.

I use it and it's actually not to bad. It's not the same as in the retail store, similar but not the same. I think it depends on your machine if it's newer then you should be fine.

Did you check your meter reading on your bill to make sure it wasn't fat fingered? U-Verse wouldn't cause your bill to get doubled.

If it's giving issues about your proxy then I wouldn't do this at all.

They have a free version which just allows you to remote access. The paid version allows for mini meetings, file transfers, etc.

Another option is use something like www.logmein.com which allows you to remote to a pc for free and you can check email that way. That's what I have used for a few years now. Previous company blocked all webmail as well but this way I can access it.

U-Verse 6 megs is more then DSL 6 megs do to overhead. DSL you get roughly 5100 down U-Verse you get 5900 down. The radio in the RG that comes with U-Verse is the strongest I have seen out of any home wireless router to date.
