Bypass the wifi issue completely with this . It'll use the AC wiring in your house to create the network.. Or if you have a cablebox (set top box...whatever you want to call it) that is close to your wife's computer, check to see if the network port in the back of it is not being used. If its unused, then you can run cat5 from your computer to that network port. Voila, in...

Let us know what your premtech thinks/says as he's installing your hsia if you don't mind. Something tells me its gonna be funny, but at least for him it'll be the quickest 5 minutes he's ever spent on an install.. I would really love to know what exactly your $25 is paying for, since there isn't any additional hardware that you're requesting.. He isn't even going to inst...

To the above poster... Registration does not have to be done on-site.. The user can call and do it over the phone with tech support. This is why I do not see any reason at all for this particular user to have to go through any sort of installation process. Remember, this is an existing user who already has all required hardware already installed and ready-to-go. To the OP...

I think you're getting bad information from people.. Try calling again and hopefully you'll get somebody better. It's not like you need anybody to come in and lay new line or anything anyways. All they have to do is register you (this can be done easiely over the phone..). You don't need to use their wifi adapter; any wifi adapter will do. Charging you an install fee for ...

ATT doesn't "throttle" any connections.

I've always thought high corrected block counts were either a symptom of a problem with the line from the dslam to the nid, or a symptom of a problem with the line from your RG to the nid. Replacing the RG would not seem to make long-term sense to me at all. At most immediately after the rg swap the problem might "seem" better but that isn't the same as being fixed.

A neat feature I also discovered - each set top box has a LAN port, for the heck of it - I connected my laptop to see what I could do since the receiver guide just says 'used for recording ip video'. To my surprise, my laptop got a dhcp address from the RG and I could access my entire network as well as the internet. So ...

I can't think of any advantage that your N router would offer over the G uverse router unless you want to make it easier for your neighbors to see your ssid. Your vonage device could connect directly to the RG. Hook it up first and have the tech set its IP in the RG to dmz+... Should work immediately once you've done that. Your regular cable modem vs Uverse RG.. Your cabl...

No good answer really.. Different DVR's, different results.. How often is this occuring? If it is happening with every game, why not record a buffer around the actual time that the game is supposed to play? Basically set the DVR to start recording an hour prior to game start and stop recording an hour after game end. This might provide enough leeway for what you're trying...

You brought up some excellent points. Kudos. The link that you provided will redirect to https://rewardcenter.att.com That's ok..its supposed to do that.. Also you'll want to use your 9 digit uverse account number since that is where the rewards are typically posted to. So the rule of thumb is, if you don't see anything after typing in your phone number, then try your BAN...
