A quick update ... since this AT&T Customer Service disaster just doesn't want to pass quitely into the night. After the DSL debacle I decided to disconnect from AT&T completely. AT&T branded products went into the trash and I canceled my AT&T landline/local/longdistance serivce ... that would be very early in MARCH 2010. I thought I was done. Here's the deal ... they can...

The madness continues! Today I get an e-mail from ATT/Covad letting me know that "MY REQUEST" to cancel my DSL service will end my service as of midnight 4/24 ... unless I contact them to continue my service. Really ???? I received a phone call from ATT Corporate this morning (3/1/10), as a followup to an e-mail that I sent to the top of the house last week. The phone call was professional, informative and demonstrated all the customer service skills that would have saved us all so much time, effort and angst ... and would have saved at least this customer. Thank you for the PM. It explains why my posts were deleted ... posting of a full name, email address, contact info. I would still like an answer as to what's going on with DSL in New Jersey. How about a clear, definitive statement . Why was the plug pulled on my account when I migrated e-mail. This was not a "wordnet.att.net" DSL login. I accessed the DSL with an ATT.net ...

Please check your private messages, the moderators have been messaging you the past few days. The private messages can be found in the top right. - moderator There's no attempt to solve the problem or to provide a clear answer as to why New Jersey DSL customers have their DSL accounts dropped when they migrate their e-mail. Not once have my concerns/complaints been direct...

After 30 min on hold ... the call is dropped by ATT. Sort of makes you wonder about their "Commitment To Customer Service" statement that ends all their scripts. Anyone at ATT know what's going on???? Please ... just feel free to jump in here any time you want to.

The insanity continues..... At the "recommendation" of the e-Chat support I called the 13 State DSL Help Desk. No help ... I'm not a customer! I explain a decade of payment and use. I just got off the e-line with ATT DSL Chat support. (glad that I have internet connection alternatives via "hotspots") Another run around. The drop down menu doesn't even allow you to check NJ. This contiues to get worse ... I ported over my 5 e-mail address to the Zero Dollar program ... and I now have "Yahoo" powering my e-Mail with an ATT landing page and branding. That's a huge step backards ... to have multiple clicks to even get to an e-mail pane, to have to log in individaully to each account (when previously logging into the master account gave me a sideb...
