We had Direct TV for 12 years. Discontinued it in 2006. For many reasons.....we did not like it but it was only service available to us at the time. After reading these FAQs it would appear that we most likely would not like it now. We enjoy our U-verse service and, for the most part, it has been very reliable. So we won't switch voluntarily. Sure hope we are not forced t...

Don't really have a solution BUT.....I do have a question. Is your DVR located out in the open or is it, perhaps, on a shelf behind a glass door to a cabinet? There was a time....several years ago....when we had a bit of a problem with similar symptoms to yours and the problem went away when I removed the glass cabinet door. I always kind of guessed that some impurities i...

We've been Uverse subscribers since late December of 2007. Initially we had some service problems but techs were always available to come to the house.......even on a Sunday morning on one occasion....to get us up and running again. In the last 5 years or so we have not had any problems. Most important improvement I personally made was to install a dual band wireless rout...

Actually this particular feature comes in quite handy for me every so often. Occasionally I get in a hurry and don't get my remote pointed quite accurately. So....when I hit the power button the TV turns on but the U-verse receiver does not. If the "push OK" feature was not available I would find myself in a position that either I would have to get up from my chair and wa...

I agree, JMC. Our own situation is such that additional cabling was not possible. As for speed.....we subscribe for 18 mbps down & 1.5 mbps up.... but regularly test at 23 mbps down and 2 mbps up. I was just offering alternative ideas for the OP's consideration. Phil

In our home....the RG is located just inside the extreme west wall of the house. So the wi-fi signal at the other end of the house was really too weak to provide good service to our laptops and my wife's iPad. I purchased a NetGear range extender and simply located it near the center of our home. It acts like a repeater for the RG and we have wi-fi everywhere....even out ...

A couple of days ago I received this notification in my E-mail in-box. The sender was someone with an address: "***@aol.com" or something like that. (old brain - short memory). I sent it to my SPAM folder. Is that what y'all would have done? Phil To [edited for privacy-please do not post personal or unique information such as but not limited to full names, employee ID num...

OK.....it was just a suggestion.....one subscriber to another. Sorry it does not help. If it were me I would take the problem direct to AT&T....via phone. That must be a super headache to have to deal with. Phil

When you delete mail from your "In" box.......it goes to the "Trash" bin. Do you then go to the trash bin and delete again? The second delete will wipe it out completely.....gone forever. Any message still remaining in the "trash" bin is still recoverable and can be returned to the "In" box. Having to do the double deletion to completely wipe out an old message is kind of...

Our favorite super market chain uses E-mail notifications to those who register for them....to notify customers of sale items, promotions, weekly news letters, etc. etc. etc. We are subscribers and my dear wife likes to look through the various products on sale and make up her shopping list....which she can print out or just save it to her iPad.....before she goes shoppin...

I suggest y'all call 'em back and when they tell you that you MUST have U-300 to get SEC.....read them this quote from the AT&T U-verse web site...regarding the SEC channel. Note the underlined portion: "You can watch classic SEC games including BCS and SEC Championship games, rivalry games, and other classic regular season and bowl games, plus Spring Football games and P...

julywashere wrote: Did you try scheduling it online? Just curious to see what happens if you set-up the recording remotely (via U-Verse.com or a U-verse app). Yes we did. My wife has that app. on her iPad and often sets up her recordings that way. It would not work this time. Hopefully AT&T will get the problem solved on its end before too long. Edit: 11:44 PM. OK......I took suggestions. I've done three things: #1 Upgraded FF and it jumped to version 20 (beta). #2 I uninstalled an app that I've been using for a while.....called "Don 't Track Me". It is supposed to prevent anyone or any site tracking where I go on-line. It's gone now. #3 I ran CCleaner and dumped the cookies. Result? Well....initially no help.....but then , toda...

Yep. Same thing happened here. Easy to take care of. I just reinstalled the HP printer from the disk and, when the question came up, I clicked on the box to install wireless. That took care of it. I've had to do this a few times....whenever upgrading printing software or....as in most recently....when upgrading to Windows 8.

It's just my opinion but I don't think you should try to redo this installation yourself. Get on the phone and call the number at the bottom of my post and insist that they really need to send a tech out to completely redo.....or, at least, completely clean up this mess. The problem inside sounds like a loose connection and/or improperly installed connecter on the end of ...

The printer drivers must be installed on every PC that will be sharing it. The Netger N600 dual band router has a USB port that can be used to turn your non-wireless printer into a wireless network printer. That router costs around $80 and for that money you can purchase a new wireless printer with air-print (for iPads and iPhones) and, in HP's case, E-print which provide...

Hmmmm. Well....I have a fairly new Solstice II. Previous phone did not use a micro SD card so I did not have this situation. However, if those images of yours are .jpg format they should be accessible through the "my stuff" menu. An alternative would be to acquire a USB data cable with a micro plug on one end, compatible with the receptacle on your phone and connect it to...
