I really like that explanation, I am going to keep that. As people need to be aware of that. I would not expect wireless or speed test sites to handle 45 easily. I would try a torrent test of some linux distros, load up about 5-10 and check their speed that way. May need more than one machine too, to test it that way.

if you changed the range and such, you would have to disconnect and reconnect.

a couple of notes I would like to make on this. for the most part it's correct. Bullet 1.) 192.169.2.254- I would not change it outside the 192.168.x.x class network specification. Doing this can cause some connectivity , DNS, and routing problems going outside the class. Example (and yes I did this once!)-- I changed my base IP address to 135.153.1.1 as well as changed e...

Just from experience with USB type burners before... I found it was easier and faster to just create an ISO and take it to a machine I could boot up and use a burner on. It also burns faster as you are targeting a full burner. Since I have a hiren's boot cd on a USB stick (and it comes with a plethora of tools for PC's including cd burning) I just walk up to a machine, bo...

Well I can tell you it's a PC named "Mindless-PC" It's IP address (LAN) is 192.168.1.65 per this link: http://www.coffer.com/mac_find/?string=00:18:8B It is a DELL assigned address. So the MAC is not spoofed or appears not to be. Maybe check around and do an IPconfig on the devices and look around?

ron351 is on the right track however I would make one change otherwise you may find accessing the unit a bit hard in troubleshooting. Here is how I set my IP scheme up. Note I don't use the 192.168.x.x scheme as too many devices come to it as default. I also keep it as general practice as not using the device's access IP address as a assignable IP address. how I set up th...

Something else to remember about microwaves and I took this from a DSLR thread looking for interferences. If the microwave is screwing with your DSL and Uverse signaling as well as wireless it might help to get the microwave an emissions test, or get one of these. This will confirm how bad the microwave is leaking emissions. ebay link this one is a bit more easier with a ...
