@joeldf I bought my Priv from the BlackBerry store back in Nov. Since I was buying mine outright, there was no reason to wait for AT&T to get them in. Even though AT&T is my carrier, my OTA updates still come from BlackBerry.

Thanks iBringDaLULZ but that isn't a solution. I keep my phones silent. This is the first phone that is a real problem. Silent on the Priv means everything except for capturing a screenshot and AT&T's start-up chimes. Someone created a fix for the screen-capture noise. The AT&T chimes are still a problem. No one understands why Blackberry would not silence capturing a scre...

My problem is with the INCREDIBLY LOUD start-up chimes. My phone has not rebooted that often, especially compared to the majority of cel phones. The problem is that the start-up of the Priv on ATT is loud enough to wake the whole house. It is also too loud to start in an enclosed space and disturbs others almost anywhere. Other phones aren't this loud and this phone is not...

It is 6am on Sat and we are all up because of the extremely loud ATT chimes. We have been complaning since launch of the Priv about how loud the ATT sound is at startup. Now everyone is awake 2 hours earlier than we need to be and I have no idea why my Phone just woke us up. This isn't the first time my phone has restarted and woken everyone. I was willing to wait for a pa...

My DSR6000 reset 11/19/2012 8:13am EST while I was in the season pass manager. This is the first time one has reset on us while we were in the menu system actively doing something.

I was surprised to find no mention of this in this forum so I decided to start this thread. On or before Nov 8, 2012 DirecTV TiVos began randomly rebooting. This is very frustrating when it happens while you are watching something or while a show is recording. From what I have seen mentioned in other forums, it is across different models and different software versions an...

Thank you. One of the wires between the LNB and multiswitch was bad. We changed out the wire and no more problems, at least for now. That gear up there is really showing its age. I don't know what the life expectancy is. I just want it to hang in until the job situation is stable. I'm sorry that it took me so long to post back (life and weather got in the way).

I didn't realize RG6 was becoming scarce. I guess that goes with the price of copper rising. When we bought an older house another family member also needed to wire their older house, so we invested in a roll of wire and tools. I don't have enough of the wire left to rewire everything but I do still have some. My skills are probably rusty now, but you couldn't tell what e...

Thanks. I have RG6 but I would have to get new ends. The ones I have are for indoor use.

Yes, we have 2 TiVo units only running one tuner each. I said that our system was old. When we set it up 4 tuners was the most you could easily run, so 1 unit runs both tuners and the other two run 1 tuner. The dish and multiswitch are grounded but AFAIK there isn't a separate grounding block. Unless I misunderstand what it is. I doubt that all 4 cables from the reieivers...

All of the outside connectors have boots or wraps. The multiswitch is mounted under an eave for some protection. When we were switching wires around to test them, they all seemed ok. Also, all of the wires have been disconnected, reconnected, and tightened at least a few times. We didn't see any moisture or corrosion. I am assuming that there should be signs of it for it ...
