It is the handoff between the LTE and GSM radios, it is not specific to Samsung, Android, or even phones. It will be an update to the modem software that changes how the device balances prioritizing which radio to use (or both) and battery life. Listening with both radios would fix the issue but you would have nearly No battery life. The only real fix will be VoLTE, let's ...

Removing the SIM card disconnects your phone's modem from the AT&T network, so no it will not perform "basic" functions such as receive calls, SMS, etc. If you connect it to WIFI it will be able to function with things that require data (Hangouts, Skype, Google Voice, ChatOn, Emails, etc.) but not non-emergency phone calls. So basically you have two options: Call AT&T and...

I hate to say it but back up everything you have on it (between KIES and Google you should get just about everything but some of your app data- scores/progress in none-"play games" cooperating games, sign-ins, etc.), and do a factory reset. Your battery calibration algorithm is either off or it is not dumping cache like it is supposed to when you reboot the device; if you'...

@UKcain is correct- my sister and I had this issue. It isn't so much the iPhone/Apple assumes everyone is using iMessage, as iMessage assumes everyone is going to use it to interact with the phone. My sister not only had to change the description as noted above, I also had to sign in to iMessage on my iMac (Keep in mind - I had never used it or signed in before), and compl...

Okay "all" is a little strong, maybe "all recent" would be more apropos... Bouncer and the Play Services .apk have nearly eliminated risks from the play store itself with app verification, especially when you pay attention to reviews and permissions as well. But my point was that although it may be tempting to find these game .apk s elsewhere, it is nearly impossible to kn...

@randomcoolname please do yourself a favor and stick to the Play Store for games... All instances of malware on Android have come from applications and games downloaded from websites other than the Play Store (Android Market)... I'm not saying playapk.org isn't trustworthy, but it is a bad habit to start. Stick to the Play Store..

@LordGeek Did they reach out to you? This just seems like poor planning or a total lack of coordination between Samsung and AT&T

@TIGERFAN133 the earliest I've heard of for VoLTE is Verizon's goal of starting roll-out in 2014, likely completion by 2015-2016. I would expect AT&T to be about a year behind them, as AT&T if still rolling out their LTE footprint. VoLTE requires enhanced (faster) broadband connections and a minor update to the bandwidth and radios at each tower.

Dmitriy, Some users have been unable to connect to the OTA server(s), when will the update be given back to Samsung to make available through their KIES software suite? I believe this is also an issue with the latest update for the Galaxy S4 as well (based on some comments in that thread)... Thanks, -Steve
