GLIMMERMAN76 wrote: Just because you have wifi does not mean it will work. I would talk with the people that do your wifi and see if they can open the ports for it. I work in a building no cell carrier will get thru so I leave my phone by my office door and it works. I do have a gear s2 so I can see my messages tho. Alas, my employer provides wifi for about 50k people. No...

That's unfortunate. Guess it's finally time to buy out my contract and move on, as I've been waiting for this since the microcell stopped working. Thanks.

I've been hanging on to AT&T despite horrible reception at work because I was banking on wifi calling. I enabled wifi calling at home and it worked like a champ. I'm on wifi here at work and wifi calling isn't working here. Am I missing something?

Yup. That's what I assume. But the Uni swears no. Dunno. I pretty much gave up. I do have an iphone 6. And yeah, it'll be a slow speed race between AT&T wifi calling (in my area) and Verizon simultaneous voice/data (in my area). The winner gets my business after that. I just need functionality. Don't really care which carrier. But my work pretty much necessitates simultan...

This was me...alas, I never got mine working again. AT&T sent yet another one. It works at home, but not at work anymore (after years of flawless service). Tech support here was pretty clueless. We just live with wifi data...

Otto Pylot wrote: Wow. It's been awhile since you posted back. Sorry that it didn't work out. If either MicroCell works at home, but not at work, then there's something unique, or wrong, with the connection from work to AT&T. I forget but who is you ISP (home and work). I know we can't use MicroCell's at work because IT won't allow them so I have no realiable cell phone c...

FWIW I'm also still without resolution. AT&T insisted it was my employer blocking mine. The employer insists that it's AT&T. Ultimately AT&T decided it was a "faulty device" (even though it worked at home) and sent a new one, which also works at home, but not at work. I've given up. I'll just wait out my contract. I can't continue to be wihtout a phone at work, indefinite...

Otto Pylot wrote: Hmmm, if it worked that long in the same location with no changes on your end then it does sound like something is blocking or interfering with access from the IT end. It's a University, so maybe they've decided to throttle speeds for certain ports to discourage college students from what college students do, or there's packet loss what ever. It could be...

Otto Pylot wrote: Unfortunately, the MicroCell has very specific requirements, as do other femtocells, so the user really needs to have as much control over the various devices that comprise their LAN as possible. Being in a University building with no control over the router(s), and with marginal AT&T tower coverage is a difficult, if not impossible situation. Switching ...

There's more detailed information in my Technical Guide which is the second link in my sig. Thanks. I bookmarked that as well. I suspect it will all be for naught as they will say "no blocked ports, nothing we can do". I've spent hours on this already. Boss has lo...
