Just received a Pace 5268AC and the config GUI is very different from what I am familiar with (Motorola) On the Pace, I'm needing confirmation that I have my sons gaming router on passthrough. I set the following on the PACE... LAN LAN IP Address Allocation For the appropriate device I selected the following: (the device happens to be a Netgear WNR2000v4) Firewall= Disabl...

Have had the Microcell for about 5 years and never had any issues. Nothing on my network has changed. Long time uverse internet customer with the 599 gateway. Given there are several posts with the same issue...could there be a problem on the AT&T side? The only light that is out of the ordinary is the red network light. Tried unplugging and plugging it back in several ti...

I have been using my AT&T remotes for years with the same equipment...no issues until now. My normal procedure to take the DVR out of standby mode is to press OK on the remote. Now pressing Ok doesn't work any more. I have 4 uverse remotes and none of them will take the DVR out of standby mode by pressing okay. If I goto the DVR and press the on button then the remotes wo...

with the 3 tv receivers connect them to the NVG589 and all other devices to the asus or the switch tied to the asus. Not going to get into the details (much better posts with specifics) but you want to avoid IP flooding so to be safe keep your TV's on the NVG589 and all other wired on the asus. (wireless can be on the 589 is you want...unless you've turned it off)

I reposted in your thread a post I put on the forum back in January. The fact that I used a netgear and you have a Asus should make no difference. Back in January I was able to get NAT-Open but I had to get a new gateway and I think it says NAT-Strict now (my son plays xbox and it still works so I haven't bothered to check into it). If you need more wired connections use ...

There is a lot of posting regarding xbox and Uverse. I pulled some of the info others have provided from various posts that I found helpful and tried to put it into one post. In summary there are 3 solutions for multi-player gaming. Do nothing: the result will be NAT=Strict (reduced ability to multi-player) Port Forward/Firewall Pinholes: the result will be NAT=Moderate (...

I have 2 netgear access points that are relatively new but have been very reliable until recently. Now I have to reboot them daily to get wifi working. I wasn't sure if was because IPv6 was turned on recently by AT&T on the RG's...I have turned it off to see if it makes a difference (Home Network/Configure) (I see lots of Uverse threads bemoaning IPv6 implementation so I ...

I turned off my iphone 6. Unplugged the microcell for 5 minutes. Let the microcell "boot-up" for 10 mins. Turned on my iphone 6 and approx 2 mins later it found the microcell.

this was from an earlier post I had; it refers to the 2 wire router but it should give you enough to go on for the RG 589. Ultimately I went with a different XBox solution; bought a UPnP router. Lots of help on the forum for that solution as well. If you have just one xbox the procedure below should be sufficient. *************************** Some external references that ...

To run two XBox gaming systems I needed UPnP functionallity so I purchased a Netgear WNR2000v4 wireless router at BestBuy for $47.00. It is UPnP capable; there are fancier routers but I don’t need 5 GHz wireless or the newest protocols because I’m using the wired connections. The netgear router will be connected to the outside world through the uverse gateway and in my ca...

I have the Motorola 589 Gateway. When the inside tech replaced my old 589 we started talking about the line stats. He said the FEC errors reset back to zero every 15 mins. 1) is that true, do they go back to zero every 15 mins? 2) if so what is an acceptable #, 100/minute? I've had to call for technical support twice in two weeks (on average every 15 mins the TV picture f...
