The about screen doesn't show a signal type from what I can see. It also correctly identifies GPRS & EDGE with their own icons. The only issue is that everywhere that should say "3G" says "4G", regardless if it is 4G or not.

You say you get a "full day". What does that mean in hours? When you are at 20%, how many hours since last charge is shown? I'm getting from 5-10 hours depending on use, but this is worse than the iPhone 3 GS that I replaced it with, and its battery had gone down to half of what it used to be. Something seems to be wrong.

Unfortunately, is not the same with the dumbphones, where, if you want tethering too, you would need to pay the $60.00 tethering plan + ...

I have no problem with them charging for that if that is what it costs for a data card. However, I think there should be a discount for tethering compared to data card, since they only have one device to provision instead of two. If I need a cell card, my compa...

Virtual wrote: No, they're not. You're not paying for tethering in your iPhone, the same with the Blackberries or any other smartphone, they're not paying tethering with the $30.00 Data Plan. If they want tethering in their phones they need the $60.00 5GB tethering plan. I was not aware of that. That said, does it really take a year to add a $60/month option to the iPhone...

All of this talk about needing a tethering plan is rendered moot by offering tethering on other phones. There is simply NO REASON that it should be permitted on other smartphones but not on the iPhone. They're giving different service to customers who are paying the same amount. It would be exactly like saying that Motorola phones can't call Canada, while all other phones...

AT&T lobbied the State of Indiana for laws that were favorable to AT&T. In exchange, AT&T was going to greatly expand 3G and DSL coverage. From AT&T's press release: http://www.att.com/gen/press-room?pid=4800&cdvn=news&newsarticleid=26697 "When technology companies invest to bring new and enhanced connectivity to Hoosiers, they create important opportunities for commerce,...
