Question, I sold my iPhone 4 because my wife and I are cutting back on our expenses and I opted to trim the cell phone bill, which saved us nearly $100 a month. Since I had an iPad and both home and work had wi-fi, I just didn't need the data capability. I am now using an inexpensive replacement, sans data plan. Would my ETF still apply to the iPhone or would it be the $1...

I know this has probably been hammered out many times but I need some clarity from the good folks on the board here. Here's my situation: I had an iPhone 4. I own a small business and have found myself using a lot of the features of Android/Google more so than iOS. So I would like to purchase a new handset, preferably the Inspire. I had an Evo, but because if poor signal ...

It sucks to have to wait- I'm waiting for mine to come off of B/O and I ordered it on 8/5. In all honesty, from a close friend that works in a corp store a few hours away, they are telling people 10-14 business days. She also told me that ordering on-line will get the phone to you quicker, somewhere around 7-10 business days depending on what you selected for shipping- an...

Famicomman wrote: I ordered with Debit and mine is on it's way now. What some people have experienced is that when they do the initial order with a debit, it authorizes the account for the charge. It doesn't actually charge the amount until it ships. If the charge amount isn't there when it ships, it kicks the order out. This might not be the case with you so you might wa...

I agree that the two week waits some people were experiencing when the phone came out were excessive, but I'll happily wait a week to get my new phone if it means not driving two hours to an Apple Store with questionable availability (th...

What is the #5 Android phone coming to ATT????? Even the EVO is getting Android 2.2 in early August. The Captivate is a nice phone except for one thing- I was playing with one in a corporat...

If you get it on release day, I think you'll be fine. The rep at my local store, and it's a good sized one, said I was the only one that had asked about it. Worse case scenario, go on-line and get one and avoid the possible rush at retail locations. Order it on Sunday and have it in your hands by Monday. It hasn't been marketed anything like the Droid X, so I think you'll...

I'm liking the Captivate more and more. Enough even to not skip to Verizon and get the Droid X. I love the X, but do I want it so badly that I'll be relegate to dialing by the window? Nah. My main grumble with the Captivate and one that most reviewers share is the amount of plastic. But the consensus is it's quality plastic. Heck, the EVO is plastic. Hardware-wise it's fa...

I think too many people make a big deal about flashes on a cell phone. In general, flashes included on 99.999% of cell phones are too low powered to make any big difference. Dual LED flashes very rarely add anything. It varies with environment and lighting. If you really need a flash that bad, bring your camera. The best thing you can look for in a cell phone camera is th...
