AT&T is still way better than Verizon and Sprint in supporting the WP7. Those two carriers still only have one WP7 1st gen phones. T-Mobile is too small for AT&T to compete against. Besides, AT&T releases more WP7 phones than any other carriers.

None of the Samsung phones on AT&T, GS2, Skyrocket and Note, have ICS release yet. It is just typical Samsung. Now before anyone blame it on AT&T entirely. I also have a Samsung GTab 10.1 Wi-fi bought a year ago and there is also no ICS for it yet (it does not require any carrier verification).

Are you sure AT&T won't shut me down be ajse I think they will prefer someone on contract paying more money to use their LTE network rather than so one on gophone? No, GoPhone plans can't connect to LTE network at all. But its HSPA network is super congested and AT&T would prefer some one paying monthly fee to use it.

I failed to see any reason to keep SR. The Qualcomm S3 chip is that phone is woefully inadwquit even for 2011 generations of the phones. The 800x480 screen also screems 2011. One X has the latest Qualcomm S4 which is a real gem from all the reviews. On top of that, it comes with 1280x720 HD screen which many reviewers say is better than Galaxy Nexus' HD AMOLED screen. As ...

Propel Pro runs old Windows Mobile. There is no easy way to turn off cell data connections. If all you want to do is close mobile IE after you done using, you need to use the built in task manager to close the browser app. You don't really have to do that though because even if IE is still running, it is not likely to consume data in the background.

The upgrade eligibility caculation is complicated. It has nothing to do with how long you have been an AT&T customer, nor it requires to be 24-months. There are many factors involved (and AT&T never really reveals the detail) but one thing is certain, it has a lot to do with how much you paid monthly for your line. The more you pay, the less you have to wait. For example,...

JFizDaWiz wrote: HD SAMOLED is reason enough Most reviews say HTC One X's SLCD2 HD screen is better than HD SAMOLED on GNexus. Besides, GS3 is expected to have a better screen than the current HD SAMOLED. Also, both will come with ICS preloaded. Not so much for SR HD which probably will still be GB and wait another year or so to land ICS update.

Unless this phone comes out for free, there is zero sense to buy it right now. HTC One X is going to be on sale May 6th and GS3 a few months after. Both will be running new QualComm S4 processor, significantly faster than the poor S3 used in Skyrocket/Skyrocket HD. And these two new phones also come with HD screen as well. So, why anyone bother to even think about SR HD a...

Your best bet is AT&T warranty center which I know there is at least one in DC area. Do you have the box with it? If so, IMEI number is printed on the box. Otherwise, you maybe out of luck.

If you let your Lumia battery completely drain, this could happen. I personally saw one of my friend's Lumia ended up like this and there are reports that others encountered the same problem. Unfortunately, the only solution is go exchange for a new phone. Some can leave it charged up and boot up normally (it need 2 to 3 hours) but in the case of friend's phone, nothing c...

That software is designed for feature phones, not smartphones. Captivate is designed to sync with Samsung Kies but it is not officially available in US. Only Kies Mini which can only be used to upgrade firmware. You can download full version of Kies from other regions and it will work with Captivate for sync. Kies is very buggy. The worst piece of software I have even use...

It should work. You don't have to have a working SIM. As long as it is not an AT&T SIM, it will ask you for unlock code first thing the phone boots up. Also beware, sometimes AT&T gives out wrong unlock code. You have a limited retries (5 times IIRC) before your phone permanently locked to AT&T.

I don't believe Australia has LTE yet. EVen within US, AT&T and Verizon LTE phones can't roam to each other's network. Both are using some bands of 700MHz. European market should be 800MHz and some other bands. LTE is at its infancy. Roaming is not possible at this time. The phones you can purchase from US carriers only support AT&T bands of LTE, However, for Skyrocket, y...

You have one year warranty from AT&T if you bought new. If you are within 1-year period, give AT&T warranty service a call.

There is no notification light on AT&T versions. In fact, AT&T doesn't believe anyone needs notification lights. So, majority of its smartphones, especially new ones, have the notification light removed at factory. So is the story of AT&T GS2.

1. Yes, it has been discussed a lot in various forums as well as here. It looks like FM is indeed missing. 2. I've tried Samsung Dive on my wi-fi Galaxy Tab 10.1 and it is not working (i.e. can't find it). Sounds like a good feature but implementation of it is sketch. I wish Google will put such feature into ICS as standard. iPhones have it. WP7 phones also have it. Andro...

The store does not handle warranty services directly. You can do it over the phone or if you can locate an AT&T Warranty Device center near you, you can go there and get your replacement right away.

Because there were never the same. One calls into AT&T VM service station (that many shares the same number). One calls into your phone. Your phone should already be programmed to press 1 to speed dial to your VM number. So most ppl don;t even care to know the actual number.
