I recently switched from paper to paperless billing. When I received my bill in the mail it took me TWO STEPS to read it: open letter, remove bill from envelope. With electronic statements there are TWELVE STEPS for me to save a PDF of my bill on my computer (each click or field entry). Unacceptable waste of my time. I want a link that opens a PDF of my bill after enterin...

It appears AT&T is in line with my perspective.

On your bill, under Data Detail, see Subtotal of KB's for data usage. Mine was only 226,705 KB last month. That is why I feel I am being overcharged.

Well, I think this subject has been properly analyzed. We'll see what AT&T does, if anything. If they don't restrict the data pipe they will have to expand it as several cities are suffering due to heavy demand.

You make a good point. Of course the heavy data users would complain with this as they are getting an excellent value now compared to a tiered plan. As of now, we have a one-size-fits-all plan. Not only do I believe this single plans overcharges me, but I am, to some extent, subsidizing the habits of voracious data users. I think the charge should coincide with the amount...

BrianfromNO, your comment is one of the most logical in this thread. I hope your forecast is incorrect I would like to add a frame of reference for why I judge the $30/mo data rate as overpriced. I pay $45/mo for 10 Mbps cable internet access at home through TimeWarner. At home I use approximately 50X to 100X the amount of bandwidth compared to my iPhone. Yet, the phone r...

I also purchased the iPhone with complete knowledge of the plans and costs thereof. Please feel free to cite the text where I complained about my purchase. I am merely suggesting an alternate plan to accommodate different levels of data usage. So many of the responders seemingly do not read or cannot comprehend the written words I have typed and try adding their interprete...

Let me restate: for my minimal data usage $30 is a poor value, or in other words, too expensive for what I get out of it. So, I want a cheaper plan for us lower-level data users, and I think heavier data hogs should pay more on a relative basis. Many broadband delivery companies have similar tiered plans. In my case, TimeWarner offers RoadRunner Basic, Standard, and Turbo...

If you think I used "big words" then that tells me quite a bit about your vocabulary. Again, your response is self-centered as you didn't consider my perspective, only your own viewpoint which is from the stance of a heavy data user, which I am not. You did either did not fully read my posts or you didn't comprehend them. Next, how do you know what people want when you di...

There are some replies here that are not based on logical thinking. iFrosty, no point? Wrong I made an argument and you disregard it without any counterargument. You can only see your perspective without debating the merits of my perspective. No intellectualism in that.

DWC1, you make some good points. Recall my primary criteria is value, which is perceived worth for a price paid. I deem the current plan a poor value for minimal data users like myself. You however may see it as a good value based on your usage pattern. So our outlooks are based on different facts unique to us, perhaps. Thanks for your input.
