I also do not believe that multiple threads with the same person can be created. The whole point of threaded messaging is to keep conversations organized by contact so they're easy to find and reply to. If you're trying to save a message thread, I believe there are apps out there for that. Find an app, save the thread in question to your PC, and delete it off your phone.

I have the car dock for my Atrix and find it quite handy. It keeps the phone in view at all times (obviously) so you're not fumbling around for it and keeps it charged (assuming you have it plugged in to a usb charger). I've used the Android Nav app a few times, and Pandora internet radio a lot with it, and it works especially well if you have it plugged into an auxillary...

I think I just discovered what is happening, although the reason why is still not apparent. While playing with data settings, I unchecked the "Background data" option and tried to use the Google Talk app....bingo, the Talk app requires background data be enabled. So, for some reason background data is not staying connected when enabled on both my Atrix and my Inspire, whi...

I am also having this issue on two different 4G phones, but not on my Captivate. Still waiting for some kind of answer myself.

Ok, new development. I have also used a brand new, never used Inspire with the same issue. This leads me to believe that there must be an issue with Gingerbread on at&t's 4G network. My reason for believing this is the problem is that my 3g Captivate does not have the logout problem. If I could force my inspire or atrix to be on 3g, I could verify this, but I'm having no l...

I have to disagree, at least as far as my problem is concerned. My Asus Transformer (wifi only as well) NEVER has any issues with logouts. That coupled with the fact that my Captivate running Gingerbread also has no issues with logouts whatsoever on wifi or 3G leaves me with Motoblur as the odd man out in the equation. If I can get the Aria I loaned to a friend back, I'll...

UPDATE: A replacement device has not helped the issue, nor has a replacement SIM. I Put my SIM in my Captivate, also running Gingerbread , and now there are no more issues with gtalk logging out, which seems to be the core problem. My observations tell me to point my finger at Motoblur somehow interfering with a persistent connection to Google, this being the biggest dif...

I've been searching all over, Android Forums, XDA, google, etc, and haven't found an answer to my problem yet. Quite suddenly a couple of weeks ago, I found that I wasn't getting my push notifications for my gmail account to my Atrix, and when I did, they were dealyed from as little as 5 minutes to as much as 45 minutes. Shortly after this discovery, I also noticed that g...

So, any word yet on when the new ROM hits the streets? I haven't bothered with the leaked version because I don't really feel like flashing the phone twice, and I'd like to put the final product on instead.

I've been getting the same text and I believe that is the source. I had the at&t social.net app on my jack for a short time but uninstalled it because I don't have three different social network site acounts Anyhow, I thought I had everything unsubscribed and turned off before I hosed it out but apparently I didn't. I'm thinking of reinstalling it and doing it over again.

CoderHead wrote: I noticed one nuisance with the 6.5 update, but so far I don't really have any bugs. My only thing with this 6.5 update (certainly not "upgrade") is that I don't see a single, discernable advantage over 6.1. On a touch screen phone (like my unlocked Tilt that I just sold), 6.5 offers a host of features that make for a good experience. On these non-touch s...
