the package only contains 3 single-port and 1 dual-port (splitter) DSL filters. they have to order that 2-Line DSL filter to separate the 2 numbers coming from one phonejack.

don't answer it. delete it. 100% phishing scam. AT&T or any other ISPs won't ask for your password.

you may try this website: http://att.net/attpby and migrate your account to free AT&T email ID. see if it will accept your login information for the migration.

@ NS64, i don't think you need to pay for the dial up service to keep your worldnet email accounts active. from what i've read somewhere in this forum, WorldNet customers who purchase AT&T DSL will be allowed to maintain their existing Worldnet e-mail accounts by using the Portal Migration Tool to migrate to a Free ATT Email Account. This account will be in addition to th...

the 2Wire gateway is quite sensitive when it comes to power outages; they easily get bad. the reset button sometimes help fix the modem since it resets the modem back to factory state. but at times when there are power outages, the modem or the power adapter gets defective, and may need replacement.

there is no additional cost is using the wireless connection of the 2Wire. you only pay for the AT&T internet service. the 2Wire device has the feature to distribute this internet connection to multiple computers (4 ethernet + wireless) at no additional fee.

@ help_needed , if the DSL light on your modem is off (dark), then it's not getting any DSL signal from the AT&T server. there could be a possible line problem outside, AT&T server down/outage, bad cable/filter connection on your end, or a bad DSL modem. make sure you have a good working dial tone, all telephone devices are filtered, modem directly connected to your phone...

i believe you are paying $7.95 per month for the dial up service to keep your worldnet email IDs active. i suggest you migrate your worldnet accounts to the free AT&T email ID and just cancel the Dial Up service once successfully migrated. you can go to http://att.net/attpby website to do the open portal migration. hope this helps!

is the DSL light on your modem staying solid green? that's an indication that your modem is receiving a good DSL signal. have you tried connecting a different computer to the same DSL modem? you can immediately ask for the Second Level of Support to help you pinpoint the cause of the issue. they can check if the modem responds to the AT&T server (successful ping).
