I was a big critic of my first microcell and returned it last year within the 30 period. However, we're still looking at several months before new towers are added where I have a 2nd home and lately I can't get a signal anywhere in the house. Fortunately our property owner's assocation worked a deal with the AT&T rep that allowed us to get one for $50. I had read here tha...

The Microcell is a piece of crap (and I'm being kind...) I wish I had found this forum before buying mine...fortunately I found it well before the end of my 30 days and it helped convince me to return it for a refund. And yes, my cell phone service now sucks, but at least it's dependably undependable, rather than undependably undependable.

My suggestion would be to give it a try, but keep the receipt and packaging handy - it can be returned for refund within 30 days. I returned mine. The reasons: Call delay. Often took 20-30 seconds before the call went through and sometimes it would just fail. I considered this a dangerous situation if there were ever an emergency. Switching. I usually get only 1 bar of co...

Fortunately AT&T lets you return these things within 30 days. Perhaps if I had read the messages on this forum I might not have purchased this in the first place, but I did give it a fair workout for my 30 day period. Frankly, I find the AT&T Microcell, and AT&T's non-existent response to it's problems to be dangerous and a class action suit waiting to happen. I however, ...

If you have an iPhone, run away quickly I can't speak for other phones, but my experience with our iPhones and the Microcell borders on criminal. 30 second delays to connect, if they connect at all Having to toggle airplane mode every day to get them to connect Poor call quality Oh yeah, I jhad to pay $199 for the honor of using my Internet bandwidth with this piece of cra...

See my post above....I wish I were so lucky. I would say 2 out of 3 times my first call of the day fails rather than completes after a lengthy delay. A dangerous situation, to say the least.

I'm finding that usually the first call of the day experiences up to a 30 second delay, at which point the call will either go through or it will fail. Subsequent calls, although not zippy, usually seem to begin with 10 seconds or so. [Per Guidelines : Keep it Relevant and Appropriate] .

Well I certainly have a love/hate relationship with this device so far. The LOVE part is simple...when it works, it provides a cell phone signal in my house which get very poor AT&T reception and from what I've been told by AT&T, I can expect to continue for another year until they build some more cell towers in my area. The HATE part... 1. Outgoing calls can take 20-30 s...

Since getting my MicroCell a couple of weeks ago, pretty much every day I experience this, discovering that it's using the crappy 3g service in my area and not the Microcell. It pretty much happens first thing every morning after the the phone has been off for the night. Fortunately for me, toggling airplane mode on both our 4 and 3g iPhones has forced it to reconnect to ...
