The new GoPhone "PAYGonline" website design, obviously optimized for tablets, has lost some information that was available from the original site. For example, according to the GoPhone plan terms: "GoPhone accounts will be canceled 60 days after expiration". That is, there are two important dates, the balance expiration, and sixty says later the account cancellation. The ...

I've been on the old "Smartphone 10c/min" plan for several years now, grandfathered since AT&T eliminated it, getting PAYG rates but still able to buy data packs when I need them. https://www.paygonline.com/websc/rateplans/GSP1_en.jsp I just went to PAYGOnline to buy a data pack, but found that my plan is now called "10c/min NO PPU DATA". It still links to the GSP1 page ab...

I used to be with T-Mobile - that's how it was then, and I just checked and confirmed that's how it still is. Mind you, it was a nice convenience when I traveled in Canada. Like AT&T, their texting roaming rates are ...

OnlytheShadowKnows wrote: Unless money is no object, the AT&T post-paid roaming fees are insanely expensive, and applied to both incoming and outgoing calls. Yes and no. Voice and data are indeed insanely expensive, but texting roaming rates are quite reasonable, in my opinion: fifty cents to send (just double the standard international text rate from the US), nothing ext...

I'm a US Citizen, have a US billing address, and a verified Paypal account, but Callingmart doesn't want my business because I happen to be in Australia. My order went through to Paypal, but Callingmart flagged it (probably because I'm i...

Is that possible? I'm in an identical situation (American in Australia), and have been keeping my AT&T prepaid account going for over a year now. There are two issues here: keeping...

Scammers are subtle. The four digits *starting* your credit card are not unique, and are usually the same for all the same types of a particular card from a particular bank (like VISA credit from BofA). That's why banks usually identify your card by the *ending* four digits, which are unique enough to ID your card. The scammers are counting on your reading "four digits" a...

According to this Australian forum thread, AT&T do sell microsims at their stores. Apparently whether they sell it to you is up to the whim of the salesperson, so if you can't buy it at one store, try another. Good luck. http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1296230&p=14

It worked fine that last time I was in the US a few months ago. I did "meddle" with it; first: getting my Australian carrier to unlock it so I could use an AT&T SIM, and second: enabling the data. Once I even had some interaction with AT&T prepaid support, who complained at first but shut up when I pointed out that neither I nor the phone was ever contractually connected ...

Yes, I had 3G prepaid data working the whole time I was there, and each subsequent time since then. There was one time when I had to re-do the data enabling when I allowed iTunes to update the carrier settings, but I just searched again, found the info, and re-did it.

It looks like there may be a new data plan starting next week, so check the gophone website then. I doubt they'll have any special international packages, though. http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/cell-phone-plans/pyg-cell-phone-plans.jsp I had an unlocked iPhone from Australia over a year ago. I walked into the AT&T store, told them I forgot the phone but ne...
