If you order a sandwich at a restaurant, eat only half of it then decide to leave the rest there, you have to pay for the full sandwich, not just the half you ate. This would not be considered unfair billing. The restaurant sells only whole sandwiches; they do not offer halves of sandwiches. And AT&T does not sell partial months of service. Your new carrier probably does ...

Jeff31572, I am sure it is very frustrating. Many people don't realize that even though you do not receive a bill - from AT&T or from any creditor (credit card, utility/mortgage company etc)- you are still responsible for paying according to the terms. Most of us have numerious bills to pay and therefore it is not easy to keep track of when various things are due unless w...

I agree with Computer Joe. A cell phone can bring peace of mind, knowing your child can call/text you if an emergency should arise. On the other hand, an expensive smartphone may not be necessary, and would also be expensive to replace if it gets lost or stolen. AT&T has some wonderful features and apps that make it possible for you to be aware of your child's location an...

You probably will have to go to an AT&T corporate store in person, although I'm not 100% sure. They would be able to port your number over from the old carrier and apply a payment to your account.

On second thought, after using the phone for an hour or so, I will return it. I don"t know if it's defective or just poorly designed, but it's just not for me.

I found out that I need to keep the new SIM card. I can return the phone and AT&T will cancel the upgrade. However, I think I will keep the phone after all, as a backup phone since it was free. (My old phone still works fine.) Yes I have the $36 upgrade fee, but I can think of it as purchasing a backup phone for $36. And yes I have started a new 2-year contract, but I pla...

I just upgraded from a Samsng Flight II to an LG Xpression. Both are basic messaging phones, not smart phones. I activated the LG online with the new SIM card that came with it. As I tried to use the internet on the LG, it kept getting disconnected and displaying the message, "disconnected from network". After a few tries it got onto some sites such as google. But then it...

We're all going to dress up at my office. I will wear a prison suit and my arms will be completely covered with fake tattoes.

I have not. I am sure it is spam though. Does the message give you an option to press 2 (or some other number) if you are NOT the person financially responsible? If they do, I would choose that. I bet they would no longer be interested in contacting you.

Yes, if your area has a natural disaster (or even a man made disaster) you can simply post updates on FB or send out tweets. All your family and friends in other areas will be able to stay informed. If you're using an old phone with no data capabilities (I still have my Sony Ericsson Z300 - look it up on phone scoop) you can still send a text to multiple recepients. Uses l...

There are many, many people who are happy with AT&T. I am one of them.

DCookie, keeping the old unused phones charged is a good idea. Especially during hurricane season when people may be without power or may even have to evacuate their homes and possibly be separated. My Samsung Magnet can still be used for calls and for email. My LG Neon can do that and also post on Facebook. So there'd still be ways to keep in touch or call for help if pow...

It depends on what type of prepaid plan you have. If you have the $1/day plan with 10 cent minutes like I do, you could use 240 minutes in one day which is 240 X 10 cents = $24, plus the $1 fee for that day. Or you could use one minute each day for 22 days which would cost $24.20. So it depends on how many minutes AND how many days. If you have the $.25 Simple Plan which ...
