There are data charges on both sides, the phone you are locating and the phone that is being used to locate it UNLESS you are using the PC application to locate the phone. Just another feature.

Cancel it immediately, better yet cancel your contract, it's obvious that ATT will not stand behind their products.

Even walmart wouldn't sell a product that so blatantly does not work, they would QUIT selling it. They have more respect for their brand obviously than ATT does. And I do not recall the last time that I had to sign up for a 2 year contract for a WalMart product. If I did I would get my money back when it did not work. When you ONLY purchased this phone and this system bec...

Since ATTM doesn't "make" anything you are saying they are not responsible for anything. They do not make any phones, if they do not work with their network, tough. They don't create any of the software programs, if they do not work, tough. They do not make any of the switching equipment I imagine, so if you phone call doesn't go through they aren't responsible for that e...

Possibly a class-action suit might get someones attention. I agree this service is being fraudently advertised by ATTM imo.

ATTM is selling this service, the quality of the services is a direct reflection on ATTM. ATTM makes money selling this service (both data packages as well as the family mapping service as well)... Saying that the seller of a product is not responsible for the quality of the product is a pretty radical stance. ATT doesn't make the receiver that is in the phone either, but...

ATTM resells the service and upsells telephones with GPS chips inside touting this as a benefit to Family Map. Even WalMart stands behind the products that they "resell". ATTM is ripping people off with this "product".

And family map doesn't use the GPS device anyway. The ATT salesperson sold me more expensive phones with the GPS device so I could get better resolution but it's never used. I am still looking for an application that works, this one does not.

Thank you for posting this. We use the relocate all of the time...it's still pretty intermittant..sometimes it finds the father in law closer, sometimes not even after 5+ times. As far as ATT fixing this...well...the forum has been griping about the accuracy for over a year and the answer is pretty much the same......tough..you signed a contract..if you do not want the se...

But I"m still confused if there is any phone/ATT carrier combination that has a mapping function that actually work. The phones I got from ATT have the GPS device in it but family mapping doesn't use it. If I have ATT as my carrier, is there any combination of phones/applications that work? FamilyMapping obviously does not work.

Is there any way to get decent accuracy with any ATT carrier? I like ATT because much of my family is on it and we have att-att calls. 1. Can I get any application with my ATT carrier that actually works? 2. Do I have to get a different phone (I'm using LG CF360 phones). Thanks in advance.
