Everything you need is on the XDA website even how to revive a bricked phone which I haven't see where an X10 can really be bricked like some of the HTC phones(which are able to be revived also). Anyone that can access this forum can flash 2.1 to their X10 it's that simple. It takes about 10 minutes tops. And if you have problems with your phone the original ATT rom is av...

This is hilarious! I put a post asking people to just go ahead and flash 2.1 to their X10 and stop all the complaining. And what do you do? Instead of taking sound advice and flashing 2.1 you people hijack the thread and turn it into yet another {language filter evasion} fest. Amazing!

Amnesia Wes wrote: I set assigned ringtones to 6 contacts and the Caller ID works when they call (their names or numbers shows up asking if I want to accept or decline the call). I wonder if any of the Android apps that I added are screwing with it? That may be the problem, but it could also be the SIM card itself. Did you insert a sim card you already had or did you get ...

This is a rant based on all the complaining about ATT not offering an upgrade for the Sony Xperia X10. It in no way applies to any other device and should not be moved to another forum.

For Pete's sake would all you people just upgrade your phone already! It's not like it takes more than about 5 minutes. Not even like it matters if you have to use your warranty, just put the ATT ROM back on the phone. OMG another 5 minutes( not like you people haven't wasted that much time complaining on this forum already you could have upgraded your phone by the time y...

Not gonna happen. It is profit prohibitive for ATT to release the 2.1 update for the X10, so don't expect to ever see that happen. ATT did the same thing with the LG Incite there was an update that was released by LG for the Incite that was not supported by ATT, but you could update your phone if you unlocked it from ATT. As for multitouch, the x10 is not physically capab...

You need to download the Sideload Wonder Machine from android central here: http://forum.androidcentral.com/android-sideload-wonder-machine/ It may be a little tricky to get to work, but this is the only way to load apps. Look for my other post about going to 2.1 it's very simple and takes about 5 mins. Good luck.

Forget getting the update through offical channels it's not gonna happen. ATT won't release the update becuase they want you to get mad and go trade it in for an Iphone. It's a buisness decision plain and simple. If you really want to upgrade and trust me you really do then go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=827065 and follow the intructions in the ...

I picked the X10 over the Iphone for one main reason and that was because of Android. I have to admit I was very dissappointed to find that Android is extremely similar to the Iphone OS. But after some research on the web i'm glad that i went with the X10. If your the type of person who wants to be able to modify their phone you'll find that Android is the OS for you. Of ...

Go to the xda developers website for xperia x10a and find the files to flash the 2.1 OS to your phone. Sony has rolled out the update to the rest of the world but ATT is dragging their feet as usual. I find the 2.1 OS to be much more user friendly and although i haven't seen it yet since i just flashed today it's reported that battery life is much improved. Good luck.

I didn't have to install SDK. What OS are you running you your computer? I have Windows Vista home premium and with some help of the troubleshooting guide on Android central was able to use the SWM with no problems. Make sure you have the latest version of SWM downloaded and make sure it is in the ROOT of your harddrive. I'd suggest you go back and read the guides here fo...
