I was referring to the gentleman who was only using 3GB per month. But I do stand by my statement aboud iCloud backups. Lose your phone and see how much you miss having a backup to restore from. I hope your daughter at least does a backup to a pc using iTunes. Bill J

You get 10Gb of data on that plan so why would you turn off your icloud backup? That's just asking for trouble.

The email you received is telling you there is a problem. Did your password change? Go back into your email setup and make sure the password is correct. Bill J

I haven't had an enterprise plan for over a year but they were always $45 a month. Enterprise plans are for users who are connected to their company's BB Enterprise server. You're better off dealing with AT&T direct instead of the best buy people for plan information. Bill

The $40 plan may include something else like messaging. Other than an Enterprise plan for $45 , the only other (now grandfathered) BB plan was unlimited for $30 a month. The current plans are $15 for 200 MB and $25 for 2GB. If you think you will be around 200 MB take the $15 plan. If you go over they charge you $15 and give you another 200 MB. Obviously if you consistentl...

Have you tried a local AT&T store? I picked up a white Torch today for my daughter at a store in Northern NJ. Bill J

Reboots or Battery Pulls generally don't clear this. Try calling your BB from another phone and leave a voicemail. Then check your voice mail and delete the message you left. That should clear it up. Bill J

Just an FYI... Blackberry Protect is now available in BB App World. This app will allow you to locate your device if lost, sound an alarm, remotely lock and/or wipe it, backup wirelessly, etc. Note that this app is not for BES users as those functions are already available to them (except for the locate function). I recently downloaded the latest version of this app onto my Torch 9800. I am running OS 6.0.0.246. When I look at the apps that are running I have a generic icon for MYAT&T that is there all the time. When I launch the app I then have two. The generic icon along with the official app icon. Anyone else have this happen? I am thinking this app is not going to last too long...

Yes AT&T does not display BB Maps on your device even thpugh it shows up in the application list. Personally I like Google Maps (m.google.com) better but if you really want BBMaps try this link: http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/How_to_get_BBMaps_to_show_up_your_device%3F Note that the instructions are over 3 years old so I don't know if they will work with your devi...

AT&T can determine that you are using a BB and they will add a data plan to your account because that is the requirement. If you just want to text and make calls the Blackberry is not for you. On the other hand you can get a 200MB data plan for $15/mo. I am not familiar with the 8120 so I don't know if it has WiFi or 3G capabilities. Regardless you will be forced onto a d...

Go into your main messages folder and type ALT-U. That should show you any unread messages. If nothing displays then I would do a battery pull. BJ ptrkeyser wrote: My Bold has the icon at the top of the screen showing that I have one unread message. I would try resending the service books and if that doesn't work remove the account from BIS and then try to add it. BJ JWVallone wrote: I have 2 e-mail addresses on my 8700, one @gmail.com and one @att.blackberry.net.
