You can get what is effectively the same phone as the Desire without AT&T "improving" your user experience by replacing Google with Yahoo and locking down some of the features to AT&T-approved options. I did, see page 2.

Why would anyone want to buy an iPhone for more than $199 when they can pay AT&T and get a brand new one? Because you can only get it for $199 if you are willing to get locked up in a two year contract. Not everyone wants to ...

I just posted this in another forum here, but just in case you don't catch it there, I'll also post it here. So I was just talking to an AT&T rep in the store yesterday about Android, and had said he had talked to the HTC rep that has come in, and AT&T will indeed get one of the snapdragon phones soon (before July he said) but they the HTC rep didn't specify which one. He...

HTC Desire going to T-Mobile http://www.onlineprnews.com/news/25455-1268384718-htc-desire-now-on-tmobile-network.html No, that isn't bad news at all. If you look at the contact info, it is UK, so they are talking about T-Mobile UK. It has been known for a while that T-Mobile, along wi...

Hmmm, honestly I would keep calling. Call both Sony Ericsson and at&t, because I would not stand for that. Call the defective exchange number at 1-800-801-1101 and plead your case. DO NOT admit to fault, or that you've been taking out the charger port incorrectly. The rules of thumb I always stick to when talking with people on the phone is 1) be as nice as possible; it i...

This maybe more addressed to Sentry, but is there an AT&T rebranding package that we could download? I ask this for a few reasons. The debranding has been tossing in my head for sometime, but I need to know a few things. Such as when you update your w760a via the SE update service, it shows the package software as something like 3563-14CINGULAR06456 (Cingular with a bunch ...

Funny to see my thread top the charts again... One thing I can say...make sure all the parameters are correct. And by that I mean: 1) Make sure that it is a mp3 file (others are supported, but mp3 is just universally the best). 2) Stick to the <292kb limit. 3) Make sure it does not have DRM (Digital Right Media, i think) encryption on it. <--- That #3 might be your proble...

I hadn't noticed that, but now that you've mentioned it, it does. I can't find anything that will remove that, it is probably the coding of the actual texting program. Probably is for the purpose of differentiating from other things that could be in a message such as an attachment, picture, etc.

I couldn't really tell you the length of the clip, because it depends on the quality that you save it as. The higher the quality (i.e. 192, 160, etc.) the shorter the clip will have to be because better quality makes bigger files. The lower the quality (i.e. 128, 112, 96, etc.), the longer you can make the clip to fit. As for deleting files, if you have the phone connecte...

Okay, I'm going to save everyone a headache when they make mp3 ringtones for their new SE 760 phones. If you are like me and like to make your own ringtones from mp3s, then read on! At first I thought at&t had blocked personal mp3s from being used as ringtones (stored onto the phones internal memory), but after much playing around, I found that there is a 292kb size limit...
