When I did my upgrade all my apps and contacts stayed on the phone. I did not loose anything. You could use this http://global.mobileaction.com/product/product_AM.jsp if you have a WiFi network at home.

FYI- It is not an "Official" build. IF it was official it would be available from AT&T and or Samsung. Samsung is still working on the "Official" build.

I decided to got to the AT&T device support center in Austin TX to see if they know anything about the shut down issue. I was told that they were aware of the problem , but the Samsung has not come out with a fix yet. Problem solved! I went in to settings, applications, manage applications and found the download manager and cleared the cache. After that it worked fine.

I have no problem using the browser adn getting my email. I can connect to the Market I just can't complete a successful downoad anymore.
