In that last line I meant why AT&T got rid of the C905..not Sony. Just to clarify

"As with the application we develop - you want bells and whistles, you need to be willing to pay the additional cost in original acquistion and the additional yearly charges for support" That is where I saw the we. I am not trying to have a bickering contest here but you still have failed to answer why AT&T dropped the c905 so quickly and why they have not replaced it (re...

You said "we" like you work for AT&T, so why don't you answer this. Why did AT&T get rid of the c905? Honestly, don't BS. That phone sold VERY well. So why get rid of it? ALso why crippel the wifi? The wifi COMES FACTORY enabled by Sony, how is it costing AT&T more money to leave what is on the phone there? When you debrand the phone the wifi is enabled, you guys put firm...

YOU are ALSO missing the point. No one is arguing that the Vivaz is or is not a smartphone. Our point is that AT&T is forcing EVERYONE to pay for data plans by only offering GARBAGE PHONES if you don't want to pay for data? Why did AT&T get rid of the c905....tell me that. It was because it was a NICE PHONE that did not require data service...they also were angry that eve...

You HIT IT ON THE HEAD. At&t signed and dropped the c905 QUICK and it was the LAST NICE phone they will EVER carry that doesn't require a data plan. My suggestion is if you don't care about using At&t's data network other than MMS, buy a c905i, the fact that it doesn't support 3G is a blessing, the battery lasts a lot longer. Also, the wifi is great. You can pick them up ...

I have had my c905i for a while now and have not had any problems. If you have not debranded this phone yet, I would do so (since I see you have the c905a). It will unlock the wifi. I hope they can send you a replacement phone because if they don't have any c905's left in stock, you are S.O.L. At&t's "dumb phones" now have NO NICE features, they are all about as useful as...

Your missing the point. Tell me one phone that AT&T carries right now that doesn't require data service that is anything close to the c905 in quality. I'll make it easy on you...there isn't one. Wouldn't you think that since the c905 is over 2 years old they should have something better by now? My point is AT&T is TRYING TO FORCE everyone into buying data packages by only...

So when is AT&T going to drop a "dumb phone" that is equal in quality as the c905? Answer...they won't. Look at the phones out there now that don't require a data plan. Garbage, just absolute garbage. At the begininng of this thread another poster said "This would be a nice high end feature phone" and I said "No way they will pick it up without requiring a data plan". Thi...

Well I see they are now requiring a $15 a month data plan if you want this phone (like I predicted MONTHS ago). I am still very happy with my debranded c905. Takes wonderful pictures and I love the free internet when I am in an area that has wifi.

A. It is pretty sweet as long as AT&T doesn't cripple it (I guess there is the debranding route to fix that though). B. I am sure this phone would require subscription to a data plan if you wanted it. Like I said before, and have been told by AT&T reps, the c905 was the last nice phone that AT&T will ever offer that didn't require a data subscription. C. The new craze see...

You have to have the data service the entire time. That is the kicker. AT&T is not going to offer nice phones anymore unless you pay for data service (The c905 was the last nice phone that didn't require data service that AT&T will ever carry). You may be better off buying a phone on ebay, getting a free Nokia 6350, and then selling it to make up for the money you spent o...
