As long as you are within the range of your home wireless router, you should be able to eliminate the signal problem by using wi-fi. Also, in many cases, the speed will be faster than 3G. It's also handy for connecting on Internet-equipped airplanes.

You may be right about the phone coming to AT&T, but your thread title is contradictory--proof vs. theory.

ParrotHead_FL wrote: As for tethering... Well, I can do that with my Tilt 2, but it's dog-slow thanks to the phone's apparently crippled data speeds. Are you using BT (which will be slower) or a direct cable connection? I haven't seen anything about the phone itself (mine, anyway) crippling data speeds, though some parts of AT&T's network are obviously overloaded. Some be...

That's why it became so popular, and that's why it's the phone other companies are trying to emulate. Yeah, well, when the iPhone can tether to my laptop, has a hardware keyboa...

I'm quite happy with my Tilt2 running stock ROM. I haven't experienced any of the browser problems OP mentions or any frequent hanging or freezing. Very rarely, a program will hang and require a reboot, but that hardly ever happens. Maybe some of the software you're trying to run isn't the latest version, or hasn't been updated by the author, and doesn't run well with the...

If it's out of warranty (which it probably is, based on the dates they were made), you're on your own. jatinjain2610 wrote: Can we report this to ATT and get some discount on new phone? The exception would be if you carry the insurance, which does cover defects after the warranty expires.

I doubt they have any old Tilts to replace it with, so you've got a shot at getting a new one. I just took out the Assurion insurance today so heard the spiel--if they no longer carry the phone, they can substitute a similar one. Since Tilt2 is the successor, I'd call them and push for that one. It should only cost you the $125 deductible. Message Edited by videomaker on ...

One thing to remember about HTC--they make cutting-edge, feature-packed phones that usually have a few bugs. Their support is absolutely awful and their reps are truly clueless in their responses. They seem to be more interested in getting you to buy the next greatest phone than fixing the ones they've already made. How long users will put up with that attitude remains to...

I've had the phone since Dec '07 , have installed one app (back in June '08, Google Maps), and now suddenly the past week the phone has been rebooting about 3 times a day (that I'm aware of), on a full charge. I know there's an upgrade to 6.1, but this makes no sense (about the rebooting). I've had this thing for 14 months...
