My connection quit working this morning. Whenever I try to connect, Sierra Watcher gives the error: Invalid APN or ATT gives error 668. I have never had this problem before.

At my home location, I am getting the following speeds on an EDGE network with 5 bars. : 3G Watcher: 157kbs Download, 122kbs Upload Communication Manager 6.8.19 : 116kbs Download, 81kbs Upload On edge, any speed counts. Anyone else care to post their findings ?

My experiences with 2G networks is that speeds vary almost all the time while remaining in the same location(s). At my work location, I have had a bad day or two where I can only get 24 - 56kbs. At home, there is an AT&T 2G tower less than 1/2 a mile from my house. Even with 5 bars of signal, I only get an average of 90kbs. Sometimes the speed will go up to 150kbs, but I ...

Thanks for the reply. AT&T's coverage map would be a great help if it was a bit more acurate. I am shown to be in a solid 3G area, yet I only get 0 - 1 bar of 3G signal. Not enough to stay connected. On 2G, I have already gone well over 6mb, the 3G watcher reports the area as being an AT&T network. If I do get charged extra, I'll be droping this service and probbly go wit...

I would say yes. The only connection that would be more secure than DSL or an air card would be if you were connected to a Corporate or University intranet. Mostly, your security is dependent on having an up to date web browser, and anti spyware. Antivirus can help, but sence it rarley finds viruses before you actually get infected; I only install and use anti virus if I k...

While @ work, I have to force my 881 to 2G mode. Mostly I use 3G Watcher to acomplish this and connect to an AT&T network. If I try to use AT&T's Communication Manager, I get the following pop up: Usage on this network will be billed at a per KB rate. Are you sure you want to continue? At this point I close out Com Manager and go back to using 3G watcher. Why do I get that...

At home, I have a 2G connection that gets anywhere from dial up speed to 100kbs with 4 - 5 bars of signal. I just moved my work office to a location right beside the Texas A&M University and airport. Although ATT 3G maps show this area as 3G, I only get 0 - 1 bar of signal and unable to keep a solid connection. If I switch to 2G mode, I get 4 bars of signal, but the speed ...

You can spend a lot of cash on a WIFI card, but I would shy away from any of them priced over $60. Try to go with a decent brand, like linksys for example. Personally I don't recomend D-Link or Belkin brands. I have a usb D-link wifi card on my office pc, only 35' from my Netgear Rangemax router. The d-link only gets 2 bars of signal, where as my Acer / Atheros laptop will...

I am trying to find a card reader that will work with my 881 aircard. All I have been able to find is SD/MD readers. Anything that hooks up via USB or PCI port would work. Thanks, Budro
